Boosting communities

Blizzard could ban them all right now and within 20 minutes we would have a new community spamming away.

that just sounds like you are jealous of players who are better than you who can actually carry others for gold. Boosting for gold is ok, boosting for real life money is not. Boosting happens in every game. In WoW it affects no one because the boostee doesnt actually improve their gameplay from boosting . They end up not able to play at the same level. If people want to use their gold to save time, its within their right. When your friend buys something you cant afford do you get offended as well?

This is arguably false i personally think it detracts from the games core values to sell runs and hurts the games participation metrics in end game content why join a guild when you can just farm/buy gold and purchase everything you want without actually attempting to do any content.

but yes you are correct it isnt against TOS

I agree with that, get them out of here and people who actually play the game might come back if they dont have to wade through 4 feet of crap.

Boosting and multiboxing both need to be done away with. Probably the two worst things about this games community.

It’s not so much the selling runs that is the problem, it’s the endless supply of boosting communities that keep popping up spamming in chat and turning the game into this:

Blizzard sit here and defend their game with things like pathfinder and say how they want us to experience the game and see it all, but than they are OK with such a setup that at any given time you can simply pay to skip one of the four main portions of the game.

That along with paying to have someone boost your character simply means you can just skip everything and not have to play, so why even bother putting restrictions in the first place?

If they are truly OK with communities setup the way they are the least they can do is put something in place to allow this to happen, a notice board, an AH style system, something that cuts out the middle man to most importantly stop a small percentage of players from hoarding all the gold and running the servers economies.

And what happens when you have hundreds of millions in gold and a virtually unlimited supply of income? These communities start selling the gold for money and/or buying items from the AH and selling those for money.

So in essence, this.

or the game just dies…

But than you get those players who want to participate in high end content and because they are not good enough they are not able to get the numbers on their own metrics.

So what do they do, they pay for boosts because they want the IO and iLVL and than end up going into the pug pool and diluting it. Like the 460+ iLVL players I see that can barely hit 20K DPS, yet sit here trying to find a group for their own M15 key while sitting at 400 IO.

They are slowly killing the game anyway. Better to just rip the bandage off and see if the bleeding will stop.

I’d rather the game not be your vision as I quite enjoy it as a casual player.
I’d rather change mythic + to not have a timer and perhaps even a solo mode. But you don’t see me saying players like you should be banished from the game.

I really cant see why they want to do high end content if they cant complete it themselves. Like I would never go into a +24 and think, I can fake this.

Translation: I want them to get rid of LFR because the game needs to be changed to make players buy more carries from me.

But that’s how it happens nonetheless. That’s why carries are so popular, because people are willing to pay for this.

Billions of gold being exchanged means wealthy carriers will always have the incentive to find ways to convert that gold into cash.

Or, you biased fliptard, it’s this:

SL pretty much is the game without a band aid. Lower loot drops are going to end up slowing boosting because players are going to need their own gear and what boosts they can sell are not going to net the same results.

Players may just end up not playing because they cannot pay for one run and get 5 pieces of gear. It will end up costing some players upwards of 5 times as much to get to the same results they are seeing now.

Oh, you would be surprised. I have ran into my fair share of players who have a decent IO and iLVL but have no skill whatsoever. And when you check their raider profile you see a couple of M15 runs in a handful of dungeons and nothing else. No low keys, no untimed keys, just perfect M15’s across each dungeon they have been in.

I dont want them banished from the game. I want them to get better. For every person that is just content with doing LFR there are 10 LFR heroes who believe their opinion on mythic raiding and mythic+ are valid and blizzard needs to change things to suit them when they have no idea whats going on anyway.

If someone has the gold for it, then there’s no problem with it if it’s sold for only gold. if you’re tired of seeing it, right click > Ignore. It blocks the entire account. Not just the character.

oh is that what this SAOHuo guild is on my RP server

To be fair, i have alts like that because my guild carries my alts and i help carry theirs. I dont buy the runs. I also wouldnt take that alt into someone elses 15 and ruin it because im not a POS.

Did they? I’ve run a decent amount of m+, and I’ve never run with a boosted player.

I was responding to your post saying LFR should be deleted.

If you don’t want people to take what you say as your opinion, don’t say it. Nobody’s going to spend time sifting through your posts to find out what you have said on other occasions.

And if the changes you want to make happen, and LFR becomes harder and more inaccessible, that means you will sell more carries.

But since carries go for not 10k but 150k and up, you’d be making way more gold with those changes you want.

Yeah. What the game really needs is for elitist jerks to have full moderation privileges in the forum to prevent every [insert slur here to show how antisocial you are] from ever posting an opinion on anything.
