Boosted Druid Can't Start Class Hall Quest

Basically title. I do not have the Dreamwalk spell on my boosted druid.

“A Summons From Moonglade” quest appears available when I look at the Legion Dalaran map, and my legion Dalaran Hearthstone does work, but Archdruid Hamuul Runetotem does not show up. When I use the command to see if I’ve completed the quest already I get the answer “false”:

/run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(40643))

I have also used Teleport: Moonglade and the questgiver is not there.

I even flew from legion Dalaran to the Dreamgrove in Val’sharah to see if I could get a quest from the class hall itself and nothing.

Low-Level Quest Tracking is enabled and has been through every other step I have tried to troubleshoot this myself.

Please help me lol

How recent was the boost?

Some things are account wide, so that you have some of that is kind of expected.

It doesn’t look like that character has started the Legion introduction quests. If you visit the Hero’s Call board can you pick up Legion: The Legion Returns?

Months ago. Somewhere around the time of TWW launch.

Unfortunately not. When I visit the Hero’s Call board my options are:

  • Tanaan Jungle: Enter the Dark Portal
  • The Jade Forest: Report to Stormwind Keep
  • Mount Hyjal: Stop the Firelord

can you talk to the herald next to the bulletin board? have you turned off low level quests?

The only quest I can get from the Herald is Battle for Azeroth: Tides of War.

Per my initial post, low level quest tracking is enabled. I also have Warband Completed Quests enabled, before anyone asks.

Have you checked with recruiter Lee? https://www.wowhead.com/npc=107934/recruiter-lee

Can you pick up Tanaan? The board only has 3 slots, sometimes you need to grab a quest to free it up a bit in my experience, even if you later abandon it.

I did. I selected skip the broken shore campaign. Teleported me to Dalaran… no Archdruid Hamuul Runetotem anywhere.

I picked up like a dozen quests from the board now just to try your theory. It never gives me the Legion quest, and I suspect now won’t because I just skipped it, haha.

Its possible its phased due to TWW prepatch try completing the harbringer quest

I just tried this but unfortunately no change

As far as I know, this wouldn’t affect Legion, but in general you want this disabled. When it’s enabled, it hides the Warband Completed quests.

Did you completely finish the Harbinger quest line?

im having this same issue with the monk class quest “before the storm”. ive done everything including “The Harbinger” quest chain. Same thing with the board reports. ill also drop a list of things ive tried.

1: Legion: The legion Returns
2: To Be Prepared
3: The Battle for Broken Shore
4: Fate of the Horde
5: Emissary
6: Demons Among Us
7: Keep Your Friends Close
8: In the Blink of an Eye

Now from what i’m understanding after that i should be getting the starting quest “Before the Storm”.

I am now going to list the following things I have tried to resolve this issue.

1: The Harbinger quest line completed.
2: Call of duty quest completed. (to force the boat to spawn for the quest (The Hand of Fate)- Side note, I still have not been successful in getting the boat to spawn after doing the DF intro quests as well.
3: Breaching the Tomb up to “Champions of Legionfall”
4: Running circles around dalaran to force a layering.
5: 2hr AFK at the entrance to force a layering in dalaran.
6: repeating 4 and 5 with log outs to try and force a layer.
7: Checking the warboard in Orgrimmar for any legion quests.

Last bit of info I can give,
Ive checked all scrips with wowhead as far as quests go. I have “true” values for every prerequsit except for the starting quest “Before the Storm”

No, it is likely because the character was boosted. Some characters appear that were boosted appear to not be able to progress through the starting campaign to unlock their Class Hall and receive their artifact weapons.

I’d recommend posting in the Bug Report forum as that will help get a better sense of volume of players impacted by this. Sorry I couldn’t give you a better option.

“Newly boosted” screams 48 hour lockout to me. It might just be a matter of waiting on your payment confirmation at Blizz’s bank.

Newly boosted does have some restrictions, but I believe the folks in this thread are impacted by the bug that can cause the starting quests for Legion Artifact Weapon/Class Hall to not show up.

Warband Completed Quest tracking being enabled does the opposite? Since when?

Also, yes, I did fully complete the Harbinger questline.

Will the mods over at the bug report forum be able to manually put the quest in my log for me since I am unable to get it myself? Or refund me the character boost so I can delete and try again (after unlocking the class hall so I don’t have to worry about the glitch)?

Why do I have to make a new post… do Blizzard departments not talk to each other? Why can’t you submit an internal note to the bug development team and let them know you’ve had a number of complaints about this?

I boosted months ago. Just didn’t do much with the character for a while but now I’d like to play it.

Correct.

I get that this seems trivial to Blizzard, but where a number of class hall rewards are character-specific and not account-wide, I’m a little miffed that I can’t use this character in the way that I had imagined with the class hall titles and mount. This makes my character with a boost worth a hefty $60 USD feel unfun and unplayable.

I’m at a loss of what to do and I am extremely disappointed that I paid for a very expensive product (boosts in other games are MUCH cheaper, for reference), and received it faulty and full of bugs.

I mean the boost is so that you can jump into the latest expansion with a new character. You are complaining about not being able to do something from like four expansions ago. I get that not being able to get titles and a mount might not be ideal. But it is hardly game breaking, nor is it not getting what you paid for. Again you paid to jump ahead to a level that would be starting the new expansion, in that case it isn’t faulty or full of bugs at all.

I’m not only paying for the current expansion though. I’m paying to play the entire game. It might not be gamebreaking for you but it is extremely unfun for me to not be able to play old content.

I don’t think asking for my issue to either be fixed or for Blizzard to give me a credit for another boost so I can delete and remake the character is a big ask from a company worth $74.28 Billion USD (October 25, 2023)

You are technically only paying to access the servers. They can and have removed stuff from the game all the time, it is subject to change without notice. The issue is that a game like World of Warcraft is forward looking, they have bugs that need addressed in the most recent content. Unfortunately that means that content from 8 years ago is not going to be as high on the priority list.

As far as credit goes, you got exactly what was advertised. Your character was boosted to level 70, which allows you to only have to level 10 levels to reach end game. I get that you feel like it is game breaking for you, but you aren’t Blizzard’s only customer and they have to make sure that the majority is taken care of. This means that bugs are worked in a way that effects the most people.

I understand that isn’t what you want to hear, but again this is simply how it is with this type of game. Old content is just that, old… While it is still accessible it isn’t something that most players are playing. Finite resources are finite and sometimes priorities have to be made.
