Ahh, I didn’t see this one. Thanks!
“If I can’t have what I want, no one else should get what they want either!”
LMFAO.
If you go to the shadowlands datamined info, go to BE customization, and from there there’s a whole plethora of eye options (which were speculated were going to become a option, which tbh are still considered TBD/IDK since ion just said no on the blue option.)
This is so funny. This also means that they can actually change the model for highelfs now and give them to the alliance since they arent the same race.
That’s how it goes people want options then get mad when others want it. Then get mad when they assumed they’d get something and dont.
I felt a great disturbance in the Fel. As if millions of voices cried like manchildren, and were suddenly silenced.
Hey playpen did you hear? You arent a highelf. You may want to go back and edit all your post using that as an argument.
It has what the pro’s have also made within the request.
Belves aren’t going anywhere.
These threads usually get reported because they are spam. There’s so many threads on High Elves and Belves.
lol blood elves are high elves.
Then why are they called Blood Elves?
Blood Elves ceased being the same physiologically as High Elves when they, as a whole, embraced fel magic as a means to quench their thirst for magic. Giving them back blue eyes would present lore problems.
That being said one could argue that the next generation of Blood Elves, having grown up with the new Sunwell, would have returned to the physiological status of High Elves whom never “drank of the fel”.
It’s just funny to me, because I’ve always said more options is better. As in let people have the skin tones for void elfs because why not. Then the whole argument always back and forth. Now it’s them not getting an option and they are livid yet they didnt want others to have options.
They are infact not High Elves, they are FORMER high elves and now Blood Elves, thats why it says Blood Elf on your screen, not High Elf.
Just like I am a Void elf, not a Blood elf. We are all part of the elf species, but all three are different.
Entitled much? You don’t deserve them, why do horde players constantly feel they are entitled to Alliance races?
Theres more than 25 in the Silver Covenant alone, Nevermind the Allerian Stronghold, Stormwind, Agents in SI:6, Dalaran civillians, Hinterlands etc… High elves may be less than Blood elves but they are still a significant population that was present in Vanilla and has made an apperance in every single expansion since.
I think they’d have pink or gold eyes before blue in that scenario imo.
This literally happened as the first thread where they were all screaming was deleted.
Well, because the blue eyes that they were thinking they were getting are actually from the Void Elves. Which lead to believe, “Oh, the Horde are allowed to have everything from the Alliance, but the Alliance are never allowed to have anything that has been with them since Vanilla.”
But now seeing that confirmation from Ion himself though, I guess there is going to be a lot of “Ion trolled the Blood Elves player base.”
Good, dont want them for Belfs.
Want either High Elf Allied race, or blue eyed/pale skin void elf options.
I wish they’d just give Void Elves peach skin tones and be done with it already.
In a past interview with Ion, he did say that the high elf fantasy is Blood Elves and perhaps blue contacts in the future.
Sunwell is Holy/Arcane and we got golden eyes. Blue eyes would have been very much welcomed and I am highly disappointed.
I see Alliance races getting tons of eye colors added, and yet Blood Elves that were named High Elves and are still the same people and have the new Sunwell, can’t have their blue eye option back.
I feel mostly because of the pro helf QQ-ers.
And now there’s QQ on your side. Ion was never going to be able to make everyone happy, and I’m satisfied with neither side getting the blue eyes because it was a no-win situation to begin with, except for those with selective hearing on what is and isn’t lore friendly or fair.
