Dissapointed with this decision. Unless we get some better eye colors down the line like dark blue.
. . . I think what I find most ironic about this post is that this is how “SOME” (not all) folks think those of us who want alliance high elves act.
basically “I know you said no but I want you to change your mind, and if not then just get rid of them so they can’t have it either.” Its like a parent taking a child’s favorite toy away so the child over reacts and hands over more of their favorite toys in a futile attempt at spite.
Sorry if this sounds insulting, I really am, but its simply an observation I have made . . . if ya don’t like it then I can’t help you (not the OP specifically just folks in general, I do not bully)

Nah eyes are blue as well it’s a “iconic” feature of the blood elves. So to paraphrase the person who doesn’t care about faction balance the alliance is there waiting for you after all the anti faction claims not to care about skin color at all.

A shame that the blue eyes weren’t intended for players. I was looking forward to using it on my Belf Mage. Ah well, here’s to hoping that Belves do eventually get their blue eyes in the future!

Did he actually say that in the interview? If so I want word by word of what he said.

I’ve been under a rock and missed this info. What were the datamined blue eyes for? NPCs? Are the bicolored eyes also just for NPCs? I’m not seeing any updates about this on Wowhead; was this discussed in a recent interview?
I don’t feel strongly about it either way since I never intended to give my blood elves blue eyes, it’s just that this is news to me.
Personally, I think that it’s hilarious that the anti-high elf side has been screeching “Ion said no, they’re blood elves” and have been championing him for the past few years, treating his word as gospel (and saying pro-high elf people are ignoring the lore). And then the moment he says no to blue-eyed blood elves, they ironically turn on him and suddenly his words are no longer the final say on the matter.
It’s selective hearing.
