Ah. I was mistaken. My apologies.
I feel your pain (kidney disease, on dialysis and immuno-suppressed). For a time, I wasn’t even going outside unless it was getting in the medical transportation to dialysis. Thankfully, I have a caregiver that comes by twice a week and he managed my grocery shopping during that time period.
Then it got really bad in August with the wildfires.

i never used to be a hermit… i used to run a car club, race cars and karts, hold events, and went from being a social butterfly, to… a splattered butterfly.

Discard all worldly desires.
Become one with the universe.
Free yourself from the cycle of rebirth.
Yeah, before I started dialysis, I pretty much stayed at home. Not like a hermit, though. I had too many roommates for that. Also friends who would come over.
Im guessing your taking the piss, thats ok, you do you.
on the upside, i got a decent settlement from the hospital.
(downside, the lawyers took a good chunk of it)
Or it’s a sincere suggestion to follow the path of Buddha.
I’ll leave it up to the fans to decide.
stuff like this helps you learn who your REAL friends are.
No break from work since this whole thing started. Though this new position puts me in the same boat i was in. Upside i work well alone. Downside “you dont have leadership experience”. Classes only take you so far.
Indeed. Sadly, they have all since left the state for work. My state tends to like killing jobs.
this year has been a gut check for everyone but it doesn’t come close to the hard times of my past. so like this year it’s just like i got this

From personal experience, it very much isn’t.
This is why I troll the forums spreading happiness, earning eyerolls, bad dad jokes, and cat gifs.

This year has been taxing. Hi, emergency services here. There was no break or shutdown for me. On top of that I help my parents who are both in their 70s. So yes, it’s been a trying year.

yeah that’s gotta be scary… dealing with sick people all day, then not knowing if you’re going to infect your folks or not ![:worried: :worried:](https://d38bqls1q93fod.cloudfront.net/en/wow/images/emoji/twitter/worried.png?v=12)
i hope most of your helping can be done with minimal contact

Disabled and immunocompromised here too. It’s been rough. Been somehow climbing out of a very similar funk recently.
I think it’s just knowing that I’m safe, whole, have my cats and a roof and food. There’s so many who don’t even have that in this world right now. I’m alive enough to feel bored.

You’ll be alright. This feeling is what the media wants you to feel like.
Stay the course, stout heart.
You’re still who you were. You will be after this too. Don’t let this be something you look back on and wonder why you didn’t do anything. If tackling something right now seems too much, separate it into chunks. Chip away at your goals, manageable pieces at a time.
I’m tired as crap too, but this is typical timechange behavior. It’ll all pass by.
