Apologies, I went back to topic.
But yeah, it’s just pixels that became playable 12 years ago, no foul there, right?

Why would it be foul?
Of course I would mind, for many of the reasons Ion put forth when asked why they aren’t playable.
Hm something about blizzard fixing a mistake.
But never mind that.
I guess is then not a big deal if pixels similar to those already existant in the Horde don’t become playable in Alliance then.
Think that years of fel corruption changed them from their more arcane nature of the highelves. Might have started as a name…but then the fel changed them
That’s certainly one way to think of it. But it would also be no big deal to just add them in, anyway, would it?
Why would it bother you? They’d be a distinct, different race with their own lore. That fits all the criteria you said.
The Felblood elves are the ones that show signs of what happens to them when they actually deal with fel corruption.
Blood elves were simply exposed.
Not according to Ion, the lead developer and lore itself. Blood and High Elves are the same race. c:
But they already added them, not only once, but twice. Why making a big fuss for more pixels?
Let’s say Ion changes his mind tomorrow and decides they’re different. Would that bother you?
Oh yes the ego factor taken into the equation thus the Ren’dorei become playable.
They should just add blue eye customization to blood elves who use azerite instead of the sunwell 2.0 or fel to sate their magic since azerite is essentially just concentrated arcane power like the well of eternity.
Why not? There’s no reason not to add them.
You already asked me this about goblins. Retconning is never good.
Arcane Torrent, Arcane Acuity, Arcane Affinity, Arcane Resistance. Call me crazy, but I don’t think the blood elves lost their connection with the arcane at all from their exposure and continue to thrive in using it :P.
That wouldn’t be retconning, though, since the High Elves already exist as their own separate entity that is officially affiliated with the Alliance. Would it still bother you?
If you added them for the alliance it would need to be an allied race which essentially wasted an entire allied race slot for more blood elves when you can just give blood elves blue eyes and call it a day.
Aaand we’re back to my original question.
Where’s your empathy for those with concerns about the addition? Why only the interest of those that want those pixels should be relevant?
But also many are neutral and aren’t affiliated with the Alliance. Would it bother you if the high elves returned home to Quel’thalas and joined the Horde as a playable race instead?
