Blood elves have 0 reason to get a blue eyes option, right along side the green orcs having no reason to suddenly start turning brown again. That’s not how Fel corruption works.
But i don’t expect casuals on the issue to know their lore or do anything other than piss on High elves for the sake of spite.
Well, the OP poses a lot of questions and the topic is pretty much always going to end up with the usual suspects fighting it out, so to speak. Chances are, the OP knew what they were signing up for when they made the bait.
high elf fanboys talking about obssesive behaviours, really? those who are sickly obsessed with playing with blond characters, light skin and blue eyes
Well, they are the ones who left the Alliance- aside from the many elves who didn’t.
And it’s not like Lordaeron could’ve been much help, even if they were aware of what was going on over there. After all, the invasion of Quel’thalas happened after Lordaeron’s king was murdered, Uther and his champions were killed, and Jaina had taken most of the remaining Alliance forces to Kalimdor - per Medivh’s advice. Then there was still the issue of a plague of undeath going around.
Since the DK intro is ‘you fell during the fight agains the lich king’, wouldn’t that mean EVERY blood elf death knight is a high elf? They died before the high elves became blood elves.
It’s dumb that elves are allied with a Horde comprised entirely of their historic enemies with the exception of Tauren because Tauren did nothing wrong.
After being executed and harassed by the alliance*
Yup, except now they should have blue and gold eyes as well.
“Ultimately, it is a matter of time before the fel-power induced green glint reverts back to the blood elves’ regular high elven eyes.” - WoW devs
“Lore-wise, as high elves and blood elves are the same race (and the latter holds the majority population), it is not uncommon for high elves to be mistaken for blood elves”
Because the alliance think that a race that officially departed and was abused by the alliance should come back because they want blood elves on the horde side and can’t accept the fact it will never happen.
Not at all, in fact blood elves should have a blue eye option now a days.
Then the alliance would have literally nothing to cry about other than “They should be on our side, not the hordes!”
They had to make up a reason to steal the blood elves from the horde and knew the horde would lose it if they swapped them factions but the only change was blue eyes and it would just be stupid all around.
It would be just as dumb. Horde races are horde, alliance races are alliance period. Faction identity has been a major part of this game since its inception and was one of the core foundations until pandaren, which Blizzard themselves acknowledges as a mistake.
Yes and no. Its a race made specifically as a compromise, whether some people like them as that or not is a different topic. But they are also from a less finite source of numbers. Yes, the initial number of elves that turned into void elves was small but they came from a pool that’s much larger than the splintered off High Elves and we are shown plenty of examples of both High Elves and Blood Elves joining the Void Elves. That’s something that couldn’t be done with the High Elves.
I admit I wish they weren’t so weak handed in saying others joined up though and leaving things up to interpretation, just showing a single ritual of them turning a High/Blood Elf into a fellow Void Elf would do leagues to answer population question.
Which doesn’t make sense, considering night elves exiled them from being anywhere near there due to them literally bringing Azeroth to the attention of the most deadly force known in existence and starting a never ending war…
I didn’t realize saying you’re a new race makes that happen. Sounds a lot like the people in real life who say things like “I’m a werewolf and not a human!”
Except high elves as a whole officially left the alliance, so it doesn’t matter much.
Yes, It would be an outrage for a horde race to be put on the alliance roster with no reason other than “But we want blue eyed blood elves on our team!”
But you’re wrong though. Stealing one race and giving it to the other purely because of a minority of vocal whiners demands it would be outrageous.
Nah, it only matters about things that THEY want. They’re extreme hypocrites and outright delusional.
Having blue eyes =/= a different race or different lore. Blood elves are high elves and took high elf lore with them. Blood elves and what little “high elves” remain have been separated for less than 30 years and there is no central “high elf” community, It’s spread out hand fulls here or there so they wouldn’t have cultivated their own lore even if they tried. It’d be like saying “Oh that one dude over there? Yeah he has his own city, his own lore, he deserves to be a playable race!” Even IF you think that’s justification for them to be playable, there’s millions of races that make WAY more sense to be playable before that.
According to high elf mega fans their own knowledge of lore is more right than the people who made it as seen below.
I think they sometimes confuse official lore with the fanfictions they read, LOL.
Except for you know, the whole part about their faction as a whole officially left the alliance already after being bullied and executed by the alliance…
Except they officially left the alliance ages ago after being mistreated, executed, and worse…so why would they join the alliance and not the horde? Where almost ALL their family and friends live?
Except they officially left the alliance as a race before the game was even playable.
This.
I guess you wouldn’t know since you’re alliance, but every high elf remaining is welcomed to visit the sun well any time they want…so if by “a hand full of visitors” you mean literally every remaining high elf, sure.
