Blood Elf Death Knights - Red Eyes?

Im not trying to misrepresent anything. Thats exactly what you guys are doing. Its a constant stream of complaints on top of complaints then you just gang up on someone that doesnt carry the same torch as you and most of you dont even talk about the damn topic and then blame the person you were just ganging up on for derailing the thread.

No, you dont love this roller coaster. You wouldnt be asking for all these changes to it. Just go ride a different roller coaster, there are other ones out there that can fill what you want.

Was waiting on this tired trope. You arent even posting on a DK, dont even bring this crappy argument up.

No, you didnt. You just said “jailer no exist eye color change!” domination magic absolutely still exists. It didnt go away with the jailer or the helm. Its like saying fire magic died with Ragnaros… its still there. And crafting arguments is a part of having a discussion. If you just want an echo chamber go whisper people with the same ideas as you.

I havent misrepresented your argument. Thats your argument, i want this roller coaster to be different give me bro. Thats your argument.

Based on what? Just some idea that you want implemented because you think it would be cool? Again, this roller coaster should be different, give me bro, is your entire argument here. Talk about self entitled.

Uh, no. Its not in lore that makes it enough to where it cant possibly be so. To whatever point you say I didnt respond to but did respond to.

You dont see these jumps in time between by posts? I do work, and I came on here during lunch to post a couple of times until you trolls came on here trying to derail the thread because you dont like when I post. Prove me wrong. I mean hell your first post in this damn thread was “kelliste… oh damn you beat me to it.” it was to troll me. FFS anyone with eyes can tell that you guys are the ones creating all this bs.

I know you did.

This is part of the lore and it’s there. People wnat it and there’s no reason for it to not be available to the players.

Shes not a death knight though.

So the lore doesn’t state for sure one way or another but during the DK starting questline she teaches the player about anti-magic shell she has this conversation:

Lady Alistra says: Skeletal mages. A perfect opportunity to display the utility of some of our powers.

Lady Alistra says: Your spells will not be as potent as mine, but you will find anti-magic shells to be entirely invaluable against a large number of magical attacks.

Lady Alistra says: The power you absorb from spells with your shell can be used to counter with your other attacks.

Lady Alistra says: Mages fear our kind… with reason. Play upon this fear, disciples.

The way she refers to “our kind” makes me think she is speaking about DKs and is referring to herself as one.

While we’re at it, can we get dark green whispy eyes for those of us in Unholy? At the very least, though, add the Darkfallen options to DKs if you’re not going to just give glowing red eyes to every DK.

Dks should have the red eyes as well. Is only a costumization? Yes. Is need? Yes. Even dks got the black eye nf customization I believe, this should be too. Lore-fluid or not, they make more sense than void elf having it. (Though void elf should also have it, cause reasons)

If you hope over to the Ebon Hold you will find that Lady Alistra has the updated red eyes added on 9.2.5. Also her title is no conceivable doubt she is a death knight with red eyes.

Red eyes for DK’s, and separate the skin tone from the eyes, please and thank you. It’s very obvious it’s just the NPC skin stitched onto characters, as it even wipes details that it wasn’t meant for use with. The Blood Elf face with freckles loses it’s freckles, for example.

Amal’thazad also says we when he is training people at times and he is a lich. Hes not a Dk. Lady Alistra is adept at unholy magic just like banshees are. So she is most likely talking about people that do the same stuff. In lore Death Knights arent the only ones that can use death knight abilities. They can even use AMS.

It just says shes a trainer and adept to unholy magic. Dont need to be a DK to train DK’s. Amal’Thazad is a lich training DK’s for frost.

Not only that, if people want to use her as an example, you would get red eyes for unholy magic, not blood, and thats not what people want.

Where are the night warrior dk npcs?

So, Gul’dan is a Banshee?

I logged to the forums after many many months to comment on this. You truly are just here to rip on the desires of others. There is a reason everyone here says you are narcissistic. You clearly hate the idea of things added that you dislike. I dont like Monk or Panderen, but I am happy for those who do like it.

If someone wants more options, I support them fully. Lore has been tossed out for quite some time now.

I thought it was a joke how much you hate the idea of other options. My goodness you really are trying to control what others like and/or want in a game they also pay for.

What Bliz is saying by excluding Dks, and Dhs, is that ppl who enjoy playing these classes, will NEVER get to participate in these kinds of comsmetic systems, thanks to lame lore reasons ur eye colors can NEVER change, and anytime they add new eye colors to the game, you will be left out, like a fat kid in gym class, these new eye colors arnt for you, they are for every1 else, it actually makes a class that is suppose to feel special and unqie, feel bad, like I am be punished for my class choice, Like I am being intentionally excluded from new content just because I play a Dk, this feels bad, and no lore reason in the game justifies this…

I feel ur pain, I too love all things that are red,. pls give us red eyes bliz

It doesn’t also explicitly say that she isn’t. This is one of those vague areas that we could argue over until the end of time.

But i would like top point out a few more things. Back in WC3 Arthas had a purple glow to his eyes. Baron Rivendale and the other original 4 horse men either have no eye glow at all or a green glow. And on the wowipidia page for dk, not the greatest source ever i know but it’s what we have, states that dks don’t have to have an eye glow.

What i am trying to say with all this is that dk eye color is not set in stone and has changed before.

Finally i would like to point out that technically that ne dhs can have the night warrior eyes. If you select the face that are connected to the eyes and look closely you can see that the green fel fire actually just floats several pixels above the black eyes.

Oh one more thing i thought about before hitting enter. Eye color for be already break lore. Warlocks can have yellow eyes even though they are fel corrupt, priests and paladins can have green eyes even though they have been purified and all be can have blue/purple eyes even though that would make them high elves/void elves abd should be in the alliance.

The night warrior eyes on the NE dk only skins looks INCREDIBLE for an unholy mog. Like hands down amazing. It was the thing I missed the most when I went void elf, but smaller frames fit gear so much better IMO so it was worth the change.

Now I’m a cuddly fox and I’ll never look back, but I would like more eye options for all races. It’s a neat toggle that really only impacts the user in character select screen. Maybe when I’m waiting for a ready check in my dungeons staring at the group and sizing up their mog to performance ratio in my head.

I wish there was a toggle for the dk eyes. Majority of us would probably keep status quo but the option would be welcome. The muti colored eye options for some of the races are also very fun.

Problem is these options would amazing a multitude of characters. Orcs or trolls during facials for example. As stoked as I am to have it, I’m also kinda bummed we’re stuck to just a few races. Like the all black eyes for the night warrior. It sucks to not have that option for something like the worgen. It’s such a cool effect!

The whole “If you don’t like it don’t do it thing.” is really silly. How’s this? If you don’t like the idea of red eyes on your Death Knight, don’t use them. There are many ways one can justify a really, really simple customization option for their character and it literally has ZERO impact on anyone else in the world. The lore can be intact whilst allowing people to play how they want to.

What if I want to play out my Death Knight character as a Banshee wearing plate armor, much like the assumed NPC mentioned here several times? I’ve seen several people play a DK class but state that their character is not at all a DK. Living Spellblades that master Frost magic or in the case of Kaldorei with the Night Warrior eyes, exactly that. A living warrior who was present for Teldrassil.

Limiting the player experience with these apparently strict lore laws is silly, especially when most of the story comes from the creator of the character. You create your character’s life and existence as it is, not anybody else, the lore being guidelines to follow, bend just a touch, or for some to break if they want. You don’t have to acknowledge other player’s characters as existing beings in the world.

No hes not. Did he go through the same thing Sylv went through? No he didnt and hes not undead either. He drank demons blood.

If you want helms to change eye color, go for it. Want a you? Do you. But when you are trying to justify it through lore, or when you swap specs, there is an issue with that because thats not how it works. You guys need to quit lying and grasping for straws as some justification that isnt there.

Night warrior eyes if i remember correctly was a bug they removed it and people cried bloody murder to have it back. DH as far as i know doesnt have that option, why not? What makes DK special enough to no longer be death knights?

BE eye glow doesnt break lore. Elves have a source of magic. Moonwell for Night Elves, Sunwell for Blood Elves and Nightwell for Nightborne. BE eye gliw was green because of the fel corruption of the Sunwell and once it was cleansed they could have golden eyes.

None of this has anything to do with DK eye color though. DK eye color is blue for a specific reason.

If its from a toy or helm i wont. But if eye color changes based on spec or some dumb reason then no. Dont break the lore for your selfish wants. There are other ways to get what you want. Glyphs, toys, helms none of which any of you have even bothered to suggest. Its this whole rant of “you just dont want us to have it” bs argument.
