Blood Elf Customization Thread (Glory of the Sin'dorei)

They always do. Lol

Love the crowd of “they changed something so wows now destroyed and I’m leaving”.

Always so predictable.

They’ve probably been claiming they are leaving for years for every little reason.

I have posted about this before but

We have had Lanesh since MOP pre blood elves green eyes wearing off or even golden eyes. While he does look like he is in tattered Scryer clothing it could suggest he is an Outland High Elf maybe one of the ones we see in Shattrath, and if he linked up w the Scryers and later the Blood Elves it seems plausible especially w the devs move towards wanting to explore more player agency for background stories that some High Elves have returned home and taken the blood elf name.

We have both the story of our eyes wearing off or some High Elves returning, and if Quelthalas is revamped ever I’d like to see some text from NPCs reflecting this narrative.

Just waiting for people to show up at the Discord where it’ll be like Void Elf One and High Elf one. Full of people to talk to.

I can’t wait for this either.

Uhh, no, Shamans/Paladin were exchanged between factions for the sake of game balance. Not ideal, but unlike what you want, it was actually necessary. It’s an example of bending the lore around for a legitimate reason, unlike anything you’ve provided as justification for your wish list. I also see no reason not to have Blood Elf Warriors. Unlike you, I’m arriving at my conclusions through facts and logic.

Neither of these are valid reasons to gut the lore of an entire race, period.

Insults and claiming “troll/alt” as if it even matters or has any relevance to the discussion at hand. The last stops for people with no real thought, argument, or substance to share of any kind. Stop attacking the person and attack the idea. Or, you know, continue through your life never being taken seriously by anyone.

Level 10 Orc with very few achieves says it all.

Also, if you don’t want to be insulted, don’t insult first.

You also have the same achieves for the same dates as an Orc that posted early yesterday morning and had their thread deleted for trolling.

I would absoloulty play my belf more often if some of these were options, so cool!!!

Blood Elves are quite into nature you’re just not paying attention apparently? Like lets skip over the Farstriders alone, a group of rangers focused on nature magic to guard their forest homeland, just because they use arcane magic to assist in the growing of their land doesn’t meant they’d hate nature… like what even is your argument? They don’t have druids because it wasn’t part of their culture not because they somehow reviled it.

There isn’t a single thing that stops them right now from having it. They have allies who can teach them they do in fact love their forest home and would very much want to heal the Dead Scar.

They’re also not idiots… They know that the Cenarion Circle and Argent Crusade together were able to clear sections of the Western Plaguelands of the plague.

You’re being a stick in the mud for no reason.

Like give me any good reason that the Blood Elves wouldn’t learn to be druids after all that has happened to them. What about them do you think would lead to them seeing tauren and troll and hell night elf and worgen druids at this point and not think, “hey thats neat! Lets learn that and see if it fixes our problem back home.”

I’ll wait… cause there isn’t any real reason they wouldn’t. lol

You have no reason that makes any sense that they wouldn’t expand their knowledge of magic to shaman and druid. You’re a stick in the mud with no reason other than you’re afraid of change.

When you get to the next game and its all races and all classes and then inevitably crawl back to wow come by and say “hi” on your belf shaman.

Ha, what was their thread about?

I think a lot of belf players (and some on the fence) would absolutely lose it if these options came to pass.

One of their choice pet peeves being a reason everyone has left the game. That old song and dance.

It’s not a pet peeve lol. I’m here to discuss game design. I created a thread explaining why, in my opinion, WoW should stop catering to solo players. Of course, it was brigaded by the same overly sensitive mob that can’t stand to see anyone express another opinion from their own, but instead of coming up with any sort of real argument or just having any kind of meaningful discussion, the thread was mass reported. Funny how much of that kind of cowardly craven behavior I’ve encountered all across this forum so far.

At least you’re trying now, I guess. Unfortunately, what you’re saying here is still not good enough. The existence of the Farstriders (who use arcane magic, by your own admission) and Blood Elves having Tauren friends doens’t change who they are and always have been.

And this isn’t about being a stick in the mud, I’m not here for that. Just because I disagree with you doesn’t make me a troll. Why don’t you get that? I’m trying to defend a kind of player who also wants to play WoW. Did you ever stop to consider when you came up with these sweeping changes to the game that they might affect other people? That’s why I’m here, because players who spam the forum whining for these changes need a reality check. Stop ruining your own game.

Yes, I do, and I already explained that.

People just know when they are being baited. I don’t know what to tell you. You aren’t gonna get a warm welcome that way.

No, people want to believe it’s a troll because they don’t like hearing opinions different from their own. You can bury your head and convince yourself I’m a troll all you want, the claim I’m making doesn’t magically go away. Attack the idea, stop attacking the person.

It got reported and removed, so Blizz seems to agree with what it was.

Is Blizzard your God or something? Infallible? It’s a mod behind a keyboard, that means nothing.

No, they are the ones who own this site. You aren’t gonna last here long at this clip.

I may be removed, but my deeds shall never be forgotten

Ah, you’re one of those. Its brigading when you don’t have a majority opinion and you ignore the arguments of others because its not your own.

Meaningful discussion to you means no one can contend you.

The Farstriders I said used nature magic actually, the blood elves as a whole used arcane magic to help grow their forests. Really though that just meant they enchanted the region to be in an ever spring not really much else.

Having allies who have proven time and again the use of those magics they’re not normally using is all the reason in the world especially for Blood Elves who have been more than willing to try new things and powers to achieve their goals.

Honestly man you’re the one not trying here… you have no argument and all you can say is “this isn’t enough” with no real explanation for why. lol

You’re afraid of change thats all this comes down to.

If you think this somehow flies in the face of the lore then you haven’t been paying attention to the story evolving over time. People and cultures advance and change and the Blood Elves have every reason to do so.

As for affecting other people? Don’t use the class… Thats a ridiculous argument. If you can’t handle the world advancing why are you even playing an MMORPG?

“Sweeping changes”? They’re not sweeping changes they’re regular additions to the game… Druids exist, shamans exist and nothing about blood elves at all stops it from being available except that Blizzard hasn’t done it yet.

You didn’t though… You cling to old lore ignoring that they’re not a people who would remain chained to their past… its kinda a thing with them.

I had to double check to see if it was you I was arguing with earlier… you’ll be forgotten before the end of the night.

I’d say that focused on nature magic is a bit strong for what the farstriders are, sure they have a connection to the land and use some nature magic, but they also use arcane magic. Still I think it’s a good starting point if they were to go with druids.
With some ex farstriders wanting to recreate Thas’alah maybe?
For those unaware, Thas’alah was the oldest tree in all of Quel’thalas that soaked up energies radiating from the sunwell turning it into a tree teeming with arcane and nature magic, and it’s because of this tree that Quel’thalas forests became set to eternal spring.
The high elves also magically anchored the runestones for their barrier to the tree, imbuing them with nature magic additional to the arcane.
The tree was sacred to the high elves but then Arthas had it cut down during the whole fall of Quel’thalas, and he had deatholme constructed over its withered roots.

Now with the close allies of both the nightborne that know about arcane trees, and other allies within the Horde it should be possible to create a new tree connected to the Sunwell, and this time it would be a trifecta of arcane, nature and holy magic since the sunwell is now both holy and arcane. I can only imagine that would be a potent thing to heal the land.
