Part of me is still hoping the covenants give us a special customization option 
but the latest datamining is pointing out that BE’s for now have only green and golden eyes. I do think blue eyes will happen, but for some reason red seem more unlikely.
Still, we are still on alpha, and I really hope there’s a lot more to be added customization wise, but part of me fears we are already “set” on additional colors (Hair, Skin and Eye)

It wasn’t the latest datamining that led Keyboardturner to the conclusion, it was the fact that the current blue eyes don’t have a blind option yet, which isn’t new or compelling evidence. Her datamining alluded that because the new eyes don’t have a defined iris like the others, it must be for void elves (which sounds even more unlikely.) Despite the fact that the current glowing eyes for blood elves match the blue eye model perfectly.

Now it’s not to say blue eyes are, or are not confirmed, or that these aren’t for blood elves, but merely that its way too early to say.

they already tried to distance themselves from their comments so that if they get proven wrong they can simply say “well i told you guys i was just speculating and it was just my opinion.” it just happened to favor their agenda that they are surprisingly open about

I mean I agree so far with what she has concluded; the texture work just seems different in the eyeball; the images you are comparing are from a current in game screenshot and a test render; the eye textures by themselves look like this:

And as she has said, could be wrong and are BE eyes, they just don’t look like such.
Also, even if BE blue eyes aren’t in yet, I still think they are going to be added TBH.
I just have said since the early WoWhead preview that these just don’t look like BE eyes.
As pointed out above, I do think BE’s are getting blue eyes, so whatever issue you are having here is just projection on your part.
Now this is just a bad take; they have said since day one they are not sure they are BE eyes, and that they don’t think so, but could be wrong. Kinda weirdly hostile on your part to take the question of “are these BE eye textures” as an attack on BE blue eyes as a possibility.
If they are wrong it just a wrong conclusion, your idea that there’s a nefarious agenda behind that is just weirdly defensive, as if someone being wrong about it changes whether these are indeed blue eyes for BE’s.
It just really comes across as you being insecure.
The examples she used (The ones in your links) are the unimplemented new customization, not the existing eyes we have in game. This was evident when they removed the glow completely from the gold eyes and they didn’t have any iris definition to them.
It’s also very unlikely that they’ve added 8 new blue eye colors to void elves, when they explicitly told the players that allied races wouldn’t be get getting new customization options in Shadowlands.
That being said, is it possible? Sure, it’s certainly a possibility. Likely? Eh, I don’t think so.

I hope the male belves get piercings like Lor’themar and short hair. The belf customization is one of my biggest hypes for the expac and I hope they deliver variety.

The in game eyes were changed on 8.3 tho, they look more like the datamined textures AFAIK.
Personally, I am not sure they are BE eyes, but neither do I think they are VE eyes; the VE eye texture still has a noticeable pupil, so I don’t even have a strong theory about what these are.

Wild guess? These aren’t for an specific race and are related to covenant customization. It’s just odd they don’t look like any other race’s eyes 100%, but I don’t think they are VE eyes -although there has to be VE eye texture somewhere since they are all now “unlinked” to the head.
As I said, I do think BE’s will be getting Blue eyes, but I don’t think these ones are the ones because they just don’t have the same design.
I probably missed it but were you here to add to the happiness that people here were expressing over the possibility that Blood Elves were getting blue eyes?
It’s pretty rude to derisively presume someone’s bias because they disagree with you. And that was Play’s attitude for the dataminer and me, which was rude because I was specifically saying I do think BE’s are getting blue eyes, and was just lamenting that red don’t seem likely.
No, I actually came to say that while I think BE’s are getting blue eyes, they are probably not getting red ones and that made me sad. But since I mentioned that I agree the textures currently in alpha don’t look like blue eyes for BE, apparently it means I don’t want blue eyes for BE sigh.
I’d love some nice short hair options with some variety for both genders. Hopefully we do get more than just the body jewelry which is still cool in and of itself! Beards is endgame, though. Nice beards and scars would be to die for!

Honestly it’s too early to really tell.
I was going to make a warlock belf if red came out though.
And if blue doesn’t happen for us I’ll lose my new SI:7 spy which will make me so sad.
Agree, while I fear that we are going to see little more in terms of color options, I do believe it’s too early to tell.
I really want red eyes still cries
