I need to find you the newest quote when they addressed customization for BEs and VEs. Essentially they said HE customization is for both and players should be able to play their character how they want. They are willing to add customization that is lore friendly, and new hair for VE is lore friendly, with or without taking HEs into consideration.

This implies they had any say on the matter. If they did, well, the High Elf stans had actually made concept art of making the models different.
So everyone else is allowed to ask for whatever they want but this one specific group of players isn’t?
I was going to say Blizzard could just add unique things to Blood Elves, but you made it clear your goal here isn’t about Blood Elves retaining any sort of uniqueness, but about other players not getting something they want that in no meaningful way harms you.

Most void elf players who wanted to play high elves all along were overjoyed.
Then there were a dozen salty blood elf players who were mad that Alliance “stole” a “Horde” race, ignoring the High Elves that have been in the Alliance since WC2 and never left.
Case in point.
High Elves are an Alliance race. It’s their allegiance that makes them High Elves and not Blood Elves, and giving blue eyes to Blood Elves doesn’t suddenly make High Elves as a group no longer exist. They’re the ones who left Silvermoon for joining the Horde or because they didn’t agree with the use of fel magic to sate their addiction.
And it sure feels like the “Blue eyes for belves” thing was done entirely out of spite for people asking for high elves. “Hey, what’s that visual characteristic that sets them apart from blood elves? Give that to blood elves.”
“Hey what do Void Elves have that Blood Elves don’t? Purple eyes?
Give those to Blood Elves too”
But asking for natural hair colors like Alleria has is just a bridge too far, huh?

The copy/paste of the Horde model onto Void Elves was the bridge too far. But your tanks are rolling into the capitol now, so I wouldn’t expect you to stop. I would just feel remiss if I didn’t offer up some token resistance.
This, honestly, and every hairstyle too.
Or does Orc Hair have some kind of property that makes it impossible to dye pink, or to style like a Night Elf’s hair?
I see the argument that Alliance wants to steal blood elves from the horde. Horde stole High elves from the alliance. In vanilla WoW, no one really played Horde. The horde was vastly outnumbered. They added blood elves to get people to play horde. People were furious. I personally find this whole faction thing tired and played out. I have horde and alliance characters. I play both. Nothing in this game, as far as character customization, is ever going to make you look unique.
Everyone knows that pink is a naturally occurring hair color once you become Undead. /s
By all that is holy some folk treat this as if we want to rob the horde of everything it has or are attacking them directly!
Ya ever stop to consider that said hair colors could be more akin to the human shades of color or the dwarven ones? Blonde, red, silver, and brown hair is not unique to blood elves, fel they weren’t even the first race to have those colors for hair.
As for styles, well I always said we could make em from scratch so we’re not “stealing blood elf identity” and to add a voidy hairstyles for every natural on for the folks who prefer voidy void elves. Yea it’s work for the art team but they are also working on stuff for everyone still so it kinda fits I guess.
I like the idea of a, ‘Tentacle Toggle,’ like Night Elves have for vines and leaves. It’d let any new hairstyles be good for both Void Elves and High Elves alike that way.
100%, and for blood elves maybe hair jewelry? Or light-infused tips similar to dark iron but golden.
Fan creator did that, in fact. Made some “High Elfy” versions of the Void Elf hair.

They should give blood elves the ability to be the height of gnomes because I think it would be fun and gnomes have it and it would be so fun so why can’t blood elves be tiny too?
