And that’s why I know blizzard won’t do squat to try and bring us back.
They are completely smug and self justified in thinking that once the casual/solo players leave that they’ll make more money and can solely put all thier resources into thier mdi and world first garbage and say the game is successful and number one.
And yet they do nothing about the predators that plague the game preying on children, they do nothing about toxicity of the community. They just don’t care and the fact they hired some idiot as lead dev from a guild literally named Elitist Jerks says even more about thier stance.

solo content has always and always will be simply: do the daily/world quests and professions.
they added Torghast and the Visions last expansion to be able to scale for solo content, but pure solo content has never been a focus in the game ever since Vanilla

Just because something doesn’t Have a queuing system doesn’t mean you can’t get into it.
People run normal raid and M0’s and low keys all the time and usually don’t care about raider io at all because the content is so easy.
I don’t feel sorry for you. I think you’re self loathing and being lazy to do actual content. You’re making the game less fun for yourself by doing brain dead easy content like LFR and non mythic dungeon. Find guild and give the game a real shot

I’m locked out of the content, that’s just how it is. So no point wasting my money on a trash game and trash expansion filled with toxic players.
If you try to apply for a CE guild, yes they probably want you to be the correct spec and covenant. But majority of guilds probably don’t care man. My guild got AOTC last night and we have a venthyr frost DK?

Not true. You do want the best gear, only this is one of the few guys who at least has the chutzpah to say it outright instead of using coded language like the rest of you.
Then play a Singleplayer game
If you want High End gear, do the same high end content as everyone else- high keys and Raid. Its an MMO, thats the entire point.

You can choose to play an MMO as a single-player game, and spend your entire time collecting armor, pets, mounts, achievements, etc. There are a ton of quests you can partake in every expansion. You can level alts and dive deep into their stories.

on paper, yes. this is a great argument for why they shouldnt add more solo content. but blizzard has historically used the story as just a poorly implemented backdrop to more gameplay focused quest design. inevitably shooting themselves in the foot long term when the gameplay calls for the removal of certain quests or the ability to skip portions of the story without even noticing
I will just continue to skip Shadowlands unless they change things.
I think that link OP posted was accurate. I actually enjoy group content, but SL is pulling players in 5 directions at once.
I enjoy grouping for mythic+, but I abhor grouping for solo content.
Torghast is solo content if I’m on my blood DK, havoc DH, or ret pally, but I’m sol on my assassination rogue. Yeah. I can outgear it now with coven stuff. But watching my guildmates jump weeks ahead of me b/c they were running specs/classes that excelled in Torghast while I was stuck in a run where I couldn’t even sap 90% of the mobs in the wing was infuriating. And then having them offer to carry me was worse.

They have never given players a means to get a full set of Mythic Raid gear by doing solo content, why the heck so you think they ever would?
Or did you misunderstand the trick question and think that guy was referring to normal/heroic raid gear.
Except its not a cartoonish version of what people actually think, it is what people think. That guy just had the stones to say it directly instead of coding the language to make your case seem more sympathetic. That the rest of you have to lie to yourselves and GD to make it sound like its something more benign because you’re sad cowards who take a video game too seriously is your problem, not mine.
Or they do what they have done in the last few xpacs and provide solo content above and beyond what we currently have?
