Blizzcon Band - Le serrafim

Abba?! Im in

If I’m really in the mood for some mindless pop music then sure. Throw them in the mix.

They don’t have a wide discography as they’re kinda new and Kpop albums are usually comebacks a few times a year (at most) with EPs and mini albums. Though this is the first blizzcon where the band playing is music I actually listen to. Sort of. I don’t listen to them specifically but I know a few of their songs.

I think it’d be hilarious if they walked on stage giggling like k-pop girls, then launched into a full metal cover of War Pigs or The Power of the Horde.

US is the second largest Kpop market after Japan. So, not really that niche. Bliz is targeting the next gen of players. They already have our money.

What does a market have to do with a player base. lol

When you get statistics on how many of those pro KPOP people play games in Blizzard then get back to me. Till then I’ll say it is niche.

Why do you think they are mutually exclusive? Do you think fans of a music genre don’t play games? Do you think you have to chose between them?

Or do you think a corporation will see a untapped market potential?

This is why there are marketing depts. And why it’s a good thing you don’t run a company.

Not my thing but if other folks like it at the con then aight

But I ain’t ever gonna get Rammstein or Ghost at Blizzcon so I’m neutral to any band choice lol.

And more non-Americans play the game than Americans, so the potential market is pretty diverse.

You must be great at a party with that attitude.

Want to talk business, marketing etc… I get why they made this decision but I don’t see any statistics about kpop fans that play this game to counter my opinion that it is a niche % in blizzard games playerbases so want to try again or will you keep wasting my time with lame asinine attacks at me.

Learn one thing; when you resort to attacks, then anything you say is meaningless.

I don’t care who you are, and what you have to say about me from here on out so go pound sand.

No hype here because retail players don’t have money for Blizzcon… they are saving money for a house…:rofl::rofl:

I might not run a corp, but even i know not to pull a Bud Lite.

Lets just hope this is not one of those. If theres a ton of Boooos, then we will know for sure.

LOL.

but even at that time there were so many better choices out there. idk, i just never got the hype.

Well back then the record labels and radio stations got to decide who was hyped and who wasn’t. I like the way it is now much better. Either way though, a lot of people just subjectively liked them, hype or not. :upside_down_face:

i got super lucky and had a great college radio station within listening distance of my house. indispensable before you could just stream or download anything you could possibly imagine!

I loved Sierra’s games… Bought them for my kids, but I played them too.

You can still get tickets for Blizzcon, so yep, times have changed as well as priorities.

And regarding this year’s musical performers, Blizzard is doing something in OW community using the group. Didn’t dig into it, just saw a link.

They were a decent company, too. They treated Dynamix pretty well.

I knew about Le Sserafim prior to Blizzcon but the only way a k-pop band would have created hype is if Blackpink attended instead.
