Blizzcon Band - Le serrafim

Don’t suppose you worked on Betrayal at Krondor (pretty sure that was Dynamix)? That was when the kids were older (prior to that it was King’s Quest, Space Quest, and Quest for Glory).

Nah. I was a community coordinator for Starsiege and Tribes. Then later for TF2.

So we’ve come full circle from the 90’s. Though, I’ll admit I much prefer the general pant width from then. Tight pants just look wrong on dudes to me… Unless you’re into metal.

I was glad when these boy/girl bands disappeared in western music… Now our Asian friends have decided to bring it back with a vengeance.

I’ll admit, they do it better… Still laughable, but better than any junk made between… like NKOTB and Spice Girls.

I’m just glad music is eternal, I can ignore the fads and stick to my own preferences.

Luckily it’s at the end right? No worries. Off Topic, while I’m a sucker for blondes, I like wild hair. But, the tan one looks nice!

Out of curiosity, what exactly does a community coordinator do? Is it sort of like PR?

MCR when? I would ask for Smashing Pumpkins but I doubt Billy would play Rhinoceros and that would just make me mad.

Yeah you say that…and New Kids just announced an ampitheater tour with Paula Abdul for next summer. 8 to 12,000 horny 50 year-old women are going to show up every night, get loaded in the parking lot, and spend two hours soaking through their ripped jeans and pretending arthritis isn’t a thing.

That junk still has pull, lol.

Maybe dancing girls will get the crowd excited this time, BlizzCon crowd always worst crowd of the year

It’s nostalgic to have some rock band performing, but the shows were never that good.

Yeah, it’s kind of like PR, but also the official voice for new info, answering questions and also moderating the forums. So kind of like what Kaivax and Nethaera do around here, only back then, I could be much more active and involved with the community and the company, because people weren’t so hostile. Until TF2 dragged out for years. LOL

Hhhhhhold on. Is this 1989? O.o

The band choice seems hilarious because it’s so far out of touch with what your average WoW player listens too that it seems like a bad choice at first glance, but when you dig deeper it’s even worse because the band they choose is considered super mid in that genre of music according to comments I’ve seen from Kpop Stan’s.

But I also don’t play overwatch and since it’s clear this music group was specifically chosen to tie into that game I can’t be to judgemental as I don’t know what that games fan base is like, for all I know they love this type of music.

I have never seen such a anticlimactic Blizzcon before it even starts…

Remember Kids Tickets are available at the door.

Even ESO’s fan even was sold out this year…

That sounds like a really awesome job! I mean, not with WoW’s current fanbase… but with oldschool game fanbases, that’s pretty cool! :upside_down_face:

ESO’s European Event was at Castle Satzvey, an AirBNB near Cologne, Germany, described by one travel writer as “one of the cutest little castles we’ve seen”.

The US Event in Las Vegas gave out…wait for it…300 tickets.

I know its fun to look cool and farm hearts hating on Blizz, but let’s check ourselves maybe a little bit.

You have me wrong I’m not hating…I’m sad at what Blizz has become

Take off the Copium mask…you might see it too.

k pop is just the ol’ sex sells situation.

It was! I loved it. Dynamix and Sierra were great to work for. Vivendi kinda didn’t utilize us to our fullest, but they still did tell us some stuff. Then Activision demoted us to just mods that they then forgot about and didn’t care about. They didn’t even tell us when they deleted the forums. Had zero contact point after that we were just… gone in the wind.

Isn’t it funny working for a big company like that and getting treated in such a dehumanizing way, only to see their ads on television bragging to consumers that they care about people and families. Lol. :upside_down_face:

The bigger they are, the more we’re just a number.

Zero impact to me I’m not even watching most of blizzcon and definitely don’t care about some K-pop act I don’t care how big they are in their genre.
