Blizzard should change their "whats reportable" rules

They can also use the ignore function and you can write a ticket as well.

writing a ticket takes longer than just right click , choose report and why then done. Tickets require too much work.

If people false report constantly and Blizzard takes action against them (it’s in their rules, false reports WILL HURT YOUR ACCOUNT), I don’t see people doing it once “oh crap, Bobby was banned for constantly reporting people he didn’t like lol”

If you want to swear, do it, but there’s a difference between “Nah, that item is ****” vs “lol, you’d have to be complete **** at this game to wear that ****.”

Really simple solution. If it is determined that you exploit right-click reporting, you get banned permanently and completely - all battlenet games.

If it’s too much of a hassle, then maybe you are wanting to report more than should be reported. If someone is using actual racial slurs, then it’s worth taking 2 minutes to write a ticket.

Why is today society so freaking lazy? OMG writing a ticket is gonna take too long. Jesus I bet most of you don’t actually have a job, lazy bums.

not if I don’t have to. Before I would have just ignored which is good for nobody (me, the person using the foul language or the game). Now if I see something truly egregious I can just quickly report.

Why is today society so freaking lazy? Ride a bike to the store instead of driving a car!

In case you haven’t noticed, society exists to make everything in life simpler and less of a hassle.

Lol, I’m guessing you didn’t watch the videos of beta then? A girl was being camped, because cancerous fools like you, she thought right-clicking to report them would work. Obviously this is why most people want it, quit trying to be a hypocrite, everyone curses, no one is a saint.

What the hell are you talking about?

nah no interest in beta videos, someone being camped on a PvP server is not against the rules.

Oh for crying out loud. Seriously, if you are so cowardly and pathetic that you need an anonymous reporting ability to protect you from harsh language or, heaven forbid, being offended, then you need to first leave the forums and second stick to rpgs (without the mmo.) Honestly, you are crying about how someone may hurt your feelings. Grow up and get used to the fact that other people think differently and your opinion has absolutely no more importance than anyone else. And yes, I fully expect to get a ban for calling out a whiner as I am sure this post will be as offensive to you as your post is to me. The difference between us is that I am an adult and dont feel the need to go crying to someone else if my feelings are bruised.

private chats that you join by choice (guild, etc.) are not regulated and are allowed to self-enforce their own rules (the guild leader, channel owner can boot you).

Unfortunately the number of people you can put on your ignore list is limited. Also, it’s in Blizzard’s EULA and code of conduct to not use hate speech, vulgar language, or harassment. Their rules, their tool for reporting. I will be using Rcr, not the ignore function.

Well this is fun.

"I’ve never seen it happen (even though I admit I do not spend enough time in the CS forums yo see it hzppen), so obviously it never happens. "

Probably for the same reason that opposing the auto squelch “obviously means that we want to do nothing but throw out racial slurs, death threats and foul language all day” according to many of those favoring the auto squelch.

Allow me to quote you:

That’s fine and fair Fesz. But the evidence that auto squelch is being abused rampantly is still not to be found. So that was me drawing a conclusion.

So I will ask you. Why are you so opposed to a system that is meant to assist us in keeping the community together?

Read. The. Thread.

As I said before, this starts out with people claiming they’re against an abusable system but the reality is unveiled in their posts; they don’t want to follow Blizzard’s rules and they want the system that is used to enforce those rules removed.

What is the OP babbling about? Reporting people for language, harassment, gold selling, etc works very well. I don’t know why the OP thinks that people are being punished by unfair reporting. I’m sure Blizzard can and does check people being reported and why. What’s the problem?
