Blizzard: RIP US-Earthfury Alliance

He’s called me a liar twice in his like 15 posts, I don’t think he likes me.

There are still at least 1000 allies online right now, I just looked. At 12:30am. There are people leveling and doing things in the world. This isn’t to say there aren’t reasons to be concerned, because there are.

Horde side is fine and healthy for now and most definitely not dead.

It’s weird how you’ve ALWAYS said servers are dead if they don’t have an insane amount of people. Like in your opinion if a server doesn’t have 10k people showing on ironforge.pro it’s totally dead. That’s just a weird thing to say.

To help manage faction balance they should have implemented war mode for the minority faction if a server gets too far out of balance say anything after 55/45 would enable war mode for the 45% faction and keep it enabled until they are back within 10% of each other.

This would allow the minority faction to still compete in almost all aspects of the game. Of course it’s much too late for that now as most PvP servers are on their way to being single faction servers. At this point they may as well turn every server into a PvE server.

You will understand at 58.

Like I said months ago… any alliance that stayed on a pvp server even though they were outnumbered did not do their homework. Because prepatch a large alliance population came to the conclusion that they would either xfer to horde or a pve server.

I was on Herod alliance side and my guild switched over to horde to stay on a pvp server. If we had stayed alliance we would’ve xfered to a pve server. We knew it would only get worse for TBCC and blizzard wouldn’t do a damn thing about it.

By rerolling alliance to horde for TBCC and leaving Herod to come to Earthfury you and your guild were part of the problem which created the imbalance for both Herod and Earthfury (although it was obviously a drop in the bucket but a part of it).

You know this right? Rerolling like this was pure selfishness. You must not actually like World PVP.

Wow…such outrage & frustration. Where was all that when it was happening on other servers…check out IronForge Pro Realm Populations & take a good hard look at Pagle…then demand Blizzard do something.

Fairbanks Alliance also died. I would love to play, but somehow people kept moving off. There are like 4000 items on AH including duplicates and scam 811g listings.

There is very little group forming going

I cant help but laugh at this. I imagine a senario where I am the only person on my server and still these on the AH. I recognize that alt…

I personally have at least 250 posts talking about the faction balance issues, going back to when this all started where I empathized with the posters, gave ideas for what could change, and expressed frustration (depending on the thread). That included on the threads were the Pagle horde were upset they had to transfer off. Some others on these forums did the same and this topic has been all over the EU forums, on Reddit and on Youtube even.

So some of us tried but at the end of the day what can individual players who care do?

I despise the fact that you sully the honor of the Tauren, by playing on alliance you filthy traitor. Your arguments are also lacking substance…often.

EDIT: please do not assume my gender, swine.

Thanks for sharing why you made those posts. I’ve been posting on my Tauren forever and I still raid with it every week so I’ll keep posting on it and saying whatever I want. Thanks though for the feedback.

Still take this over cross realms

I just have to disagree with this part.

Blizzard opened free transfers to our server when it was considered one of the most balanced. Soon after it was tipped out of balance. Why did they do this? This wasn’t a player created issue, it’s a snowball effect from a terrible decision.

They ruined servers with free transfers, and expect players to pay upwards of 100+$ to get out of the situation.

Yeah this is why people are dropping world of warcraft

Its literally like playing Candy Crush on PC.

The game is designed not for you to only pay for the game itself… then you play a subscription fee… then they allow for servers to get absolutely over imbalanced that you pay another fee just to transfer your characters to be on a server to be competitive on a more even or favorable basis.

Literally sounds like the pay to win like Candy Crush to me. 🤷

Wow

I just realized that the monetization in WoW is far worse than Candy Crush… Leauge of Legends… and Fortnite combined…

i didnt realize players HAD to take a free transfer.
or couldnt transfer in proportionate amounts.
the majority of players want to play on servers overwhelmingly dominated by their faction, its been shown time and time again.

You damn right it was selfishness. I actually pay for my sub, if someone else wants to pay for it. I would play the way they want me to play. We knew months ago that this would happen why the hell stay on a dying server in a dying game? Oh, cuz others are doing it for what ever chooses I shouldn’t neither.

Alliance has been in a tremendously decline for a long time now. Classic couldn’t save them, TBCC couldn’t save them and neither will Wotlk.

If you want to get anything done out in the world w/o having to fight someone every 5 feet. You either go PvE or faction change or join an alliance mega server. But since we didnt like the alliance that wasnt an option.

Selfish you damn right I am. =)

Of course people took the limited time free transfers. I don’t think I’m going to change your mind here, but offering a service that can cost 100+ dollars, for free, for a limited time is a large incentive that people will take.

Blizzard could have prevented this, or at least lessened it’s effect dramatically by not offering free unchecked transfers. It shouldn’t be on the player to coordinate an even amount of transfers to a server and not ruin it’s balance, they have no way of knowing if 5 or 500 others are taking it on either faction.

The least Blizzard could do now is offer a reasonable, free (or fair priced) solution to those who were effected by the decision to open it up in the first place.

They didn’t give anyone on these servers the opportunity to leave for free, they just allowed everyone else in.

Earthfury was dead even almost, and that’s why so many people came over, not sure what you mean.

Well, at least you admit to being selfish unlike some that get called out, even though everything you said sounds like it comes from a typical pure PVE raid logger. It’s just weird that your guild came over here as a “World PVP”/PVP guild and now you’re all just raiding and recruiting for that even. Like your GM even tried to recruit my hunter after I ranked it at the end of Classic because I was PVPing on it and he was ranking too and he was looking for PVPers to join his guild. It’s just strange.

Anyway, if the allies all just decide to leave EF and the server becomes completely boring, which I expect at this point, I’m not going to stop PVPing. I go out with my ally all the time and I fight because I’m not scared of “getting attacked every 5 feet” like you are. So my ally is either staying to gank horde and can get called a “horde griefer alt” or whatever people feel like saying or if I leave on that character with my ally friends, I’ll find some other way to actually world PVP instead of just falling asleep every time I play. Like you enjoy doing. What I know for sure is that I’m not responsible for causing any server issue with anything I’ve done so there’s that.

so all the players took the opportunity, alliance and horde?

yeah, they could

would you say the majority of players on earthfury now are OGs or transferees?
