Not everybody that is sick of the spam hates wrath. I actually love wrath, it’s literally the first xpac that I actually played (I technically started late TBC, but I was 3 years old and didn’t fully grasp video games yet).

I free transferred to Whitemane only to find out that it’s dead on Alliance side. Now I need to pay for a faction change or pay for a transfer. If I want to have a functioning economy.
I will leave for a private server instead of paying to leave my dead faction. Never tried private but since Blizzard is famously unwilling to be flexible, I won’t feel bad about leaving.

The amount of people that will unsub due to wrath is small, most classic wrath players also play either retail, sod, era or will be going to cata, hence the reason for no wrath servers. You have a right to ask, and blizzard has a right to ignore you, which they have done. You will get wrath again in like 6-10 years when they restart classic from vanilla.

This is a bit of community misinformation, blizzard talked about hiring the people who worked on the Core of Nostalrius but never ended up doing so because Omar actually ended up having backup of vanilla on an old hard drive he found.
We don’t know the exact backroom details that went down but yeah blizzard talked about hiring them and never did.
That said if you think blizzard shutting down nostralrius and then within less than 3 years announcing, completing and testing the entire old world was a “coincidence” then I’ve got some snow to sell you.

Pservers maintain healthy numbers because the people playing them couldn’t play Classic WoW even if they wanted to. Firstly, its free, second, WoW requires a credit or debit card for a subscription, which aren’t available in some countries so their only option is a free private server.
