Blizzard Pushing Cata Classic Is Why

There are certain other reasons why people would not (and should not) pay to use Twitter under its current ownership…

People want Cataclysm, WotLK might be more popular than Cataclysm with Pservers but there’s still people that want Cataclysm. You’re equating Cataclysm with Retail because of the Eastern Kingdoms/Kalimdor re-vamp? Seriously?

And no, people have wanted Vanilla WoW and have played it on a Pserver since TBC.

You calling Cataclysm Retail is asinine.

One could say that, I’d even agree, but if that was the reason we should also see a loss of users. But for all the complaints and even with some high profile users leaving X users are barely less than before Musk. If liberals are so upset why is almost no one leaving? Twitter was losing money before Musk. The subscriptions they got never nearly made up the gap between costs and advertising revenue.

It’s not just twitter. The sub model isn’t working for the vast majority of news sites whether liberal, conservative, moderate, right wing. When newspapers converted to web sites they got tremendous traffic. It rarely translated into subscriptions even when they put up a pay wall.

Yes they do. You and that other clown who necros threads both do so I will agree the PEOPLE want wrath. How many people? You don’t know. I don’t know. A recent survey showed a big 750 people wanted Wrath Era. Out of how many millions? Blizzard has a fair idea though. And their data is what they base their plans on.

This is where I stopped reading. You want to base your argument on a bunch of criminals who make money out of thieving Blizzard intellectual property? Gee I miss the days when the discussion of p-servers was an insta perma ban. Not interested in any opinion you want to make that relies on theft.

Ok, so what about the private servers that host Cata, MoP, even WoD?

It never was. Blizz got their idea for SoD from that server. Blizzard took their ideas.

And for the Wrath one? Its been out for a long while now. They made it as soon as it was announced that Wrath Classic was shutting down.

Oh yes it was. ANY admisssion you played on a p-server was an instaban. I guess you havent been around as long as I have been.

They’re a minority. A quiet one, too. Most, if not all, of your popular pservers run on Wrath’s most complete update.

When you have to use a private server’s world info that you tossed to the wayside to try and continue lining your company’s and shareholders’ pockets, I guess banning someone about the use of private servers makes you look a little hypocritical at that point.

That’s another of the stories floating around the internet that I don’t believe. How about you provide a link to prove your claim.

I did a little research… turns out that apparently Blizz did have the assets gathering dust somewhere. So on that point, I’ll concede that I made an error.

It doesn’t change the fact that Classic came about because players wanted pre-Cata Azeroth and now history is going to repeat itself.

So I guess I’ll see y’all in Classic 2.

Blizzard promised that pre Cata Azeroth would always exist. You can play on a vanilla era server any time you want.

pservers have been a thing since vanilla, wrath pservers were never the most populated, vanilla was, hence the vanilla era servers that are pretty much dead. Vanilla is the reason classic exists, not wrath. If classic wasn’t as popular as it was when it dropped you wouldn’t have had tbc or wrath classic.

Blizz is doing so bad right now that they just cancelled Blizzcon 2024.

Completely unrelated to anything being discussed, who cares about BlizzCon, it didn’t happen two years ago too they have other ways to announce things other than BlizzCon and it doesn’t challenge anything I’ve stated…

Talk about this not that BlizzCon isn’t happening.

You and I both know that they were talking about the Wrath version of Pre Cata. They never said people wanted Pre TBC version did they? No they didn’t. They never said people wanted Pre Wrath version…so they were obviously only talking about one thing.

That USED to be the case. Not any longer. Not a good idea to stop people from playing on private servers by banning them from the non private servers…then the only way to play wow would be…on a private server. I even see people throwing out their toon names on their private servers. You used to even get in trouble here for saying private servers so everyone would say p servers instead…

I thought they were talking about Vanilla Classic otherwise I believe that they would’ve specified which expansion they were refering to if they meant WotLK.

Give us wrath era and take the loss or we’ll be thieves. That choice shows the level of immorality you live by. Neither Blizzard nor any moral person should respect you nor give into that type of blackmail.
