Classic wow started out as a private server funny enough.
Cataclysm isn’t classic in my op. It’s a nostalgia trip at best. Not a bad entry. But it would be nice to preserve a wrath era server. Because wrath is classic and just better than vanilla classic in my opinion.

and if people think the people in RDF are bad now? Pservers bring a whole other level of bad
Is it really not happening. They haven’t said it isn’t happening yet, so I will wait.
They only stated that they aren’t doing it currently and are listening to feedback. Which isn’t a no.
When every dungeon is Halls of Reflection - not inherently difficult, just cursed for you to 9 times out of 10 end up with the absolute worst players possible whenever you queue alone

Thats why all the private servers came out in mass the first time around…cuz Cata came out and ruined everyhing with the Classic world. Really thought Blizzard learned their mistake this time around and would not release Cata but this just means that MoP and then WoD are right around he corner too…and at that point… why not just play retail?
We know you hate Cata but most people disagree with you. Cata was the most popular and profitable video game of it’s time. The vast majority of wrath players, 10.2 million, liked Cata so much they paid $15 every month for 22 months. You’re in a small minority that hated Cata.

Cata is a PC game, not a video game. So you want to say video games in this, COD 201 has it beat by a landslide for 2010 sales.
Thats just it. You retail only players who began playing WoW about 4 years ago or so claimed TBC was the top seller, then you said Wrath was, now you are saying Cata was. next it will be MOP.
There is no site that lists the total profits for any wow versions. But we know how many subs there were so we can calculate the minimum profit without accounting for churn which would result in more game sales then the number of subs.
I saw no one make that claim, I never said it. You’re just pulling more nonsense out of your behind. Of the wow versions Cata was possibly the top seller, Wrath second, BC third, As the most profitable Wrath was first, Cata second, BC third.

But considering that they’ve yet to say anything about it and we’re getting the Cataclysm pre-patch in a little over a week, it’s safe to say that WotLK Era isn’t going to be happening.
Pretty sure there’s been Vanilla Pservers since TBC.
Honestly at this point we’ll be well into Pandaria Classic and Mktaar will still be here on his “but they’re listening to feedback!” kick

It was more of a hat-tip to the 5400+ unique characters logging raids on the more-or-less shut down Chaos Bolt server in SoD.
Retail brainrot child is comparing 4k on a private server to 7 million on WoW and saying private servers are dead because they’re not pulling the same numbers as retail?
Of course they’re not going to pull the same numbers as current retail. Like Blizzard would ever allow that.
Totally agree with Heavywood on this. 4K is a good pull for a pserver.
SoD isn’t anything near what Wrath was. Comparing the two is like comparing apples and oranges.
I played on a TBC pserver for awhile. Remember how Magtheridon’s Lair was easily puggable in classic? Where at least some pugs could actually kill it?
On the pserver? Nope, most pugs couldn’t get passed Curator in Kara on the pserver
There were pservs even during vanilla proper! I remember religiously playing godawful trash pservs as a kid with no money until I persuaded my dad to get me the real thing. Good times 
Ha, didn’t know that, I find it kind of funny that there were Vanilla Pservers during Vanilla.
They merged the servers to allow room for classic era realms all will be fresh start its on twitter
I had wondered if that was the reason for the server purge. HEY EVERYBODY. Hope you are happy sacrificing your guilds, guild banks, tokens and names just so the ERA ANDY’S can have their own way. IF it can be confirmed this is the case. Which I cannot see yet.
