It said nothing about rewards either way. Not while in a group either.
You absolutely have to know mechanics in games that have them. I think you thinking more along the lines of when you outlevel and solo. Rather than soloing while at that content level. Iâm thinking more along the line of FFXIVâs trusts or ESO and EQâs open dungeons.
The content Iâm referring to is not easy. So no, itâs not a part of some slippery slope fallacy.
Bingo, but why are people still trotting out that old box as some kind of gotcha when retail has always given exactly what it said?
âWow is giving us what the old box promisedâ isnât really a compelling argument for change.
Itâs saying that it was and is still an MMO that it marketed whether you are playing solo or in a group. Because people are still online with you.
Iâd think after Visions of Nâzoth, people would have some idea of what challenging solo content with rewards is, but I guess not.
Give us solo dungeons!
Honestly, half the time I loaded in gearing up my tank the group was 3 pulls in before the loading screen faded and I had more than one run where (admittedly a little salty after a point) I started asking if I should just sit at the front of the dungeon and wait for the run to end because overgeared DPS were zerging through without me.
Heroics basically are NPC dungeons lol, except that you have to try to keep up with the NPCs rather than hanging around waiting for them to catch up.
You are incorrect.
A Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG or MMO) is a computer game which is capable of supporting hundreds or thousands of players simultaneously, and is played on the Internet .
A massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) is a video game that takes place in a persistent state world (PSW) with thousands, or even millions, of players developing their characters in a role-playing environment .
Neither of those state the people must play together. And other MMORPGS already have solo modes for dungeons. Those that I know do this only do it for story purpose and the rewards are minimal.
People understand, but realistically, the request most often made arenât for challenging content. Just like with group activities, the hard stuff is desired by a lot less people. If you got a huge push of solo players making noise for actual challenges and not repeating WQs every day to get better and better rewards, youâd probably get less pushback.
It depends because Iâve seen a lot of people asking for the content Iâve suggested and far less liking the current WQs. I think WQs were fine in Legion and BFA but then became pretty annoying in Shadowlands.
Yeah, forced group content is bad for the health of the game.
They already exist, they are called Pet Battle Dungeons
Itâs like escort quests soloing back in vanilla. A group of 3-5 enemies come, and the escort keeps walking, you finally kill them and start to catch up, and the next wave hits.

This is about solo forms of current dungeons.
The mechanics in current dungeons can not be used in a solo dungeon. Therefor, you dont get to learn them.
The content Iâm referring to is not easy. So no, itâs not a part of some slippery slope fallacy.
The content you are suggesting being made in WoW is easy.
Even the content you listed as examples, was mechanically easy.
Yeah, forced group content is bad for the health of the game.
Weird how WoW survived this long with it.

It has been in decline for a very long time now due to this.
It has been in decline for a very long time now due to this.
I disagree.
Considering it was present and a key part of the initial push.
I think its just common for people to point at anything they dont like as the reason for the decline.
For example. WoW has been in decline since they removed jousting dailies.
For example. WoW has been in decline since they removed jousting dailies.
You have to come up with something that has been in common with all expansions. Force group content is one of those things that is in common with all expansions and a lot of people donât like it. It also doesnât help attract new players.
I think its just common for people to point at anything they dont like as the reason for the decline.
I think it is common for people to look at the trees instead of the forest for the overall decline of the game over more than a decade now.
I think its just common for people to point at anything they dont like as the reason for the decline.
I think the reason for wowâs decline was because I stopped playing the game shortly after Wrath. I had personal reasons, not game reasons, itâs important to note. But look where that got us. Sorry guys, itâs all my fault. /sarcasm
On the topic of solo dungeons:
I would like a single dungeon, or group of dungeons, to be challenge content. Think mage tower, but with a more âdungeon-likeâ vibe to it.
A particular example of what Iâm talking about is in ESO. ESO has two instanced solo challenges: Maelstrom Arena and Vateshran Hollows. Vateshran is more mechanically involved, but both are designed to be very hard and reward the player with gear only obtained after successful completion of the content.
Man if only we had like instances that were you know something maybe 1 or 3 people could do, and it offered like a cool little story with it, like some sort of scenario or something you know?
This is about solo forms of current dungeons.

What mechanics specifically do you not think could be helped by NPCs? And this would be for future content. Not current content anyway.
The content you are suggesting being made in WoW is easy.
Even the content you listed as examples, was mechanically easy.
So dungeons are too easy for rewards now? What? lol
