Blizzard Please give us Solo Dungeons

So that those of us who want to, can master the mechanics and get gear higher than PVE/PVP but still less than a 5 man Dung on the same scale.

For example, if a 5 man +M5 gives 200 loot, let a +M5 Solo give 195. Which will still ensure that a 5 man Dungeon will always have better loot for the group effort, but those who can’t get into groups or feel they are for some reason unable to run with groups, still have a chance at gear progression through endgame content by trying for higher lvl dungeons to get better loot.

Also this will help folks learn mechanics well and eventually 5 man dungeons will have smoother and less toxic runs with less name calling thrown in imo.

But the most important thing this will achieve will be that it’ll give a choice/chance for a greater number of people to participate in the end game content.

If possible it can be done for Raid too, with loot scaled down appropriately.

Thank you.

Dungeons and Dragons Online does this … but I don’t know about implementing this in World of Warcraft. The gear would have to be significantly scaled down for sure. 195 vs 200 probably isn’t enough of a difference.

You want a downgrade from your current covenant gear?

This is about the time I wish I could post a boggled look and then laughing gif.

Torghast could have been that. But nope. Just a boring grind for pointless ash.

Then you mean scenario mode similar to GW2. You may have A.I assist to help ya through the adventure. The loot can be on par with dungeon gear or raiding depending on difficulty. Then they need a point system to upgrade the gear.

Agreed

I think it’d be nice to have this choice, that’s all. I also think it’d benefit the players and thereby the game in the long run with access to all players to all content if they so wish to play.

Dear Blizzard, please at least attempt to balance the current classes, specs, and covenants before doing this. Currently, your balance is WAY off.

I remember running solo a low mythic key in 8.2 and having fun - and hour and change later. Motherlode. It was just to say I did it. Honestly wish there was a way to get a key for that, just for solo play and no loot. Instead of having to downgrade an existing key.

The more solo content the better imo. I would run lots of current dungeons if I could q solo and either have ai companions or the enemies scaled to reflect one player. I have zero desire to group in this game.

Please no i still have nightmares of having to heal the AI groups in the proving grounds and the holy pally legion artefact weapon scenario. Absolutely horrible tank :joy:

Adding scaling to dungeons as we have with torghast would be nice but I’m not sure about letting it go all the way to mythic.
Maybe you want to learn a particular boss but only have 1 or 2 guildmates on. Or a partner wants to learn to tank. You know there’s going to be alot of wipes and neither of you wants to subject a random set of pugs to that particular learning curve.

This is how I’ve been using torghast lately but boss mechanics can only be learned in the dungeons

You can upgrade your covenant gear that you get through questing to ilvl 197. It also comes with set bonuses that are fairly strong.

I hear what you’re saying about solo dungeons but I’m not sure loot is really the answer.

The mage tower from legion was a solo boss fight and quite difficult. It’s real popular now and many have asked for it to come back in different forms. It’s a shame Blizzard has thrown the idea in the trash can (as usual for expansions).

Those solo challenges for cosmetics really drove people to keep playing content without it being tied directly to gear. Oh well.

Definitely, i’m just envisioning the complaints resulting from blizz’s AI being atrocious :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

ESO has tiers of difficulties of dungeons as well. They are one of the more progressive MMOs that realize there is a spectrum of players who enjoy that content, not just raiders (and then everyone else).

So, in ESO you have Delves–> Public Dungeons → Normal Dungeons → Normal DLC Dungeons → Veteran → Veteran 2 → Veteran DLC → Hard Modes → Trials

Most of those can be soloed, but as you get further along you really need to become skilled at your class.

With WoW, you always need a group, or a raid.

It’s easy to do in ff14 cuz unlike WoW the trash in dungeon barely have any mechanics and the bosses are insanely scripted

I would rather have a true dungeon crawler solo mode with scaing difficulty. Like Torghast but less grindy and more dynamic.
