Blizzard, please do something about trust levels

I wouldn’t be at TL2 if that were the case…

Personally, I wouldn’t mind one bit if these forums became completely uncensored. No banning, no suspension, no nothing.

sorry op i lost mine over a silly joke and i know of meny others that lost it for no apparent reason at all i don’t care much to get it back my self just because of the way the forums are and all i mean you see players all the time geeting flaged for just having an opinion or suggesting a change to the game i would hope they take notus and stop that kind of thing

You have to live on the forums.

You have to visit the forums at least 50% of the last 100 days in order to gain TL3, so I’m assuming it’s to maintain it as well.

Me neither honestly, but that’s what I have /pol/ for.

https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/u/name-realm/summary (replace name-realm with your character name and realm respectively), also can be seen by clicking the little char icon in the top right of the forums, clicking your character name, then summary.

Shows counts towards the trust level as far as days visited, read posts/time, likes, and your current trust level (member is trust level 2, regular is trust level 3, don’t remember what trust level 1 is)

Also there is a stickied thread on the forum that outlines the exact things needed to get TL3 (though not to ‘maintain’ it) at New Forum Guide - Syntax and Features

That said, I personally agree with the trust decaying just from being inactive being a bit sad

Not only does the game have a grind, the forums do as well. Gotta keep up on your forum dailies or your going to lose exalted as well it seems.

The interesting part is the rep grinds don’t decay like the forum grinds do. That game grind is in fact easier than the forum grind.

With how adamant players are about trust levels in this thread, I am amazed that players were able to survive without these perks before the new forums.

Lame. I just want to be able to post a freaking gif.

That’s really all it’s good for and that’s something we all should be able to do if we want.

I agree with you entirely. I had Level 3 trust during the first 6 months of this current system. I post and comment on almost daily basis. I make posts, I hit likes, I comment, I try to be supportive and positive; I think I’m an active members of these forums.

Yet I still cannot get back to Level 3. To be put in a situation where you have to do empty reactive stuff to get to L3 rather than simply continue to be what you have always been is a stupid system. In what way am I any less “trustworthy” than I was when I first got it?

I think whole Trust system should be scrapped. Anyone should be able to do links and image inclusions, and if they misbehave then they get punished the way we do anyhow, with forum posting blocked until you get the message.

i just wanna post gifs about bees and junk and now my dream will never be realized and i have no clue why

Maybe we should go back to no gifs or links other than shared as basic text. I am starting to think that would be better.

You could be right. It’s not like sharing silly images has really improved the standard of posting.

Well the way it kind of looks is that some players stress over whether or not they can post gifs. That seems to be the focal point for many. Most people wave away the lounge, and sometimes images are used, but everyone wants to be able to post that funny gif. Sometimes people go a bit nuts with them actually. Not a big deal, but maybe a bit spammy.

Sometimes images or links to certain things are actually useful. Concept art from players, video links to dev stuff, or even interviews can actually be good and helpful when it comes to WoW, but players don’t seem very put out by not being able to post that stuff very often.

Maybe players wouldn’t feel so frustrated about trust levels if we went back to a more bare bones type forum without all of that. We would lose previews of art and the ability to share things like youtube videos right in the post, but that stuff could still be linked and discussed if it was actually pertinent (and less links to random youtube videos that don’t have anything to do with discussion), as long as someone would copy and paste the link to view it.

I don’t know what the lounge is like any more, but so many players scoff at how useless it is that I feel like only the regulars there would miss it, but it wouldn’t be the end of the world for the forums.

I dunno. May lose some good, useful stuff, but less fluff and memeing everywhere with less clutter and stress.

I don’t even know how they work anymore.

I’m forever trust level 1 despite browsing, commenting, upvoting and being upvoted for unhealthy amounts of time.

Account actions can cause you to lose it as well. And some people will flag bomb you even if you aren’t trolling.

There were a couple times I almost lost my lvl 3 privileges because of that. Now I lost them from inactivity but still, if that action goes through it becomes a hassle.
