Welcome to Shadowlands 2.0. This is exactly what they did with the Feedback revolving around the Maw and how we all hated it… And then they Launched Korthia. Which was the Maw… 2.0.
Oh yeah I forgot about that.
Yes. I want to perform combat that involves more than hitting 2 abilities, and I want the mobs i am fighting to plausibly be able to kill me. Otherwise what is the point of this? Its like playing a single player game on “Just the Story” difficulty.
Always the victim… good ol wow community. Can’t ever actually stand up for what they believe in. And just keep on paying for misery. I wish you peace, if you can find it.
Blizzard 100% knew about this problem months ago, anyone who doesn’t believe that is delusional. They want to condition people to buy early access in fears of missing out on things like this. Its all by design and I see right through it.
put on the worst gear you got and have at it. Run around Beowulf style just buck naked! YOU ARE THE HERO OF THE STORY! YOU’RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE KILLABLE!
Exactly, at level 70 you shouldn’t be 200ilvls ahead of what is required.
Which is why they’re changing it.
I completely agree with your concerns. The introduction of paywalled early access has unfortunately split the community, giving those who paid extra an unfair head start in leveling and progression. The decision to nerf leveling speed right as the game launches globally only exacerbates this issue, creating an imbalance that punishes those who didn’t pay for early access.
This approach prioritizes the minority of players who paid for the Epic edition over the broader community, leading to a skewed experience. Ideally, these changes should have been addressed during beta or introduced a week or more after the global launch, allowing everyone a fair shot at the content.
The developers now face a no-win situation. Delaying the nerfs will disappoint those who want a natural leveling experience, while immediate implementation will upset those seeking fairness, as early access players retain their advantage. This situation underscores the challenge of maintaining balance and fairness in the game when incorporating paid early access. I hope the developers take this feedback seriously and reconsider their approach moving forward.
That’s just stupid. You tune to the lowest point which is Dragon Flight quest greens. You most definitely do not tune for last-tier endgame raid loot.
This community and I use community loosely is definitely getting more soft and whiney ? Winey? However you say it - over time.
It definitely was way too easy to level. Hate for the deniers out there that is fact. As for the people saying that’s not the problem you get weaker as you level.
Well as normal people skip details - at 80 nothing is changing .
And we always get weaker as we level (relating to our raw stat %’s) you can screen shot your character sheet at each level then when you cap compare all the screen shots.
Either way once again many people blowing things vastly out of proportion. Are people this fragile in real life?
Im on a new character with boosted gear. Blizzard gives everyone who buys the game the boost. It should be tuned around that.
I am a bit confused about this since I get the feeling they’re going to make 76-79 the leveling “experience” start at 70 instead, so you’ll feel weak and useless all the way up to 80. It sounds so terrible how about we shift it around a bit so the player feels more powerful as they gain levels instead. Anyways I am not going to complain because I do agree that 70-72 was insane in power but like I said it doesn’t help when you get WEAKER with every level to begin with.
You just said the majority of player ilvl is ahead by 200ilvl.
So why exactly should it be tuned to dragonflight greens?
We really have to doubt what alpha/beta test actually do these days.
They couldn’t even notice one of the most obvious things during months of test, and have to make such change only 1 day after official release.
All those tests sound totally useless. And PTR quality is pathetic.
I also said the lowest point. When you’re going to try asking a question include all the relevant parts. Fresh 70 quest greens is where it should be tuned.
Some of you need some real therapy. It is not healthy to get this worked up over an absolute nothingburger of a change.
Okay again… so why exactly should it be tuned to the lowest point of dragonflight greens, if most people are ahead by 200ilvls?
What kind of an idiot thinks that we should be tuning around the last expansions endgame. No new players are going to have that gear.
Nope. At this point the solution is wait and see.
I don’t disagree with the choice to change scaling btw. I’m just trying to explain why I understand the complaints.
Oh gee I don’t know, maybe existing players that don’t want to smash through everything in 5 hours?
