I wonder if the Devs have ever actually played. Im pretty sure they just watch streamers and go into everything with 3rd person knowledge
At least thats how they make us feel

it’s all just done on spreadsheets, just like they balance classes.
The feedback they listened to here is the time to level which is too fast, so pull lever to make the time played boxes green again.
Of course, they were dying in 1-3 hits people were 200 ilvls above what it was tuned for. Mobs dying fast isn’t always an issue.
Sure, when you’re geared up for it.
Not level 70.
It pays using mommy’s credit card, amirite?
Even though it is to be expected to see some people behave this way, it really still blows my mind to see people defending Early Access making it’s way into world of warcraft.
How can you not see how disgraceful this is?
Because it’s a video game which has zero real world implications on my life and barely more implications in the video game itself and I’m emotionally mature enough to understand that and not let it enrage me.
Complaints are justified without an idea of how much it will slow down leveling.
That said, complaints are also way over the top without an idea of how much it will slow down leveling.
People are being told that leveling difficulty is going to presumably be increased. They are justifiably upset about others receiving time while operating under a different difficulty setting.
They are also assuming it is going to make a significant difference. I doubt it will.
I think complaints about this are justified but also being overblown. We won’t know anything until tomorrow and in the mean time we are all still just working on what was already a delayed access divide.
I didn’t agree with EA being pay to win before but with Blizzard nerfing non EA players from leveling their alts starting tomorrow they sure now made it that way.
Great, so what’s the solution? Don’t ever make the change?
“Oops, this was unintended and accidental, but in order to be the most “fair” to everyone we’re just not going to fix it”
When has the world ever operated that way?
The complaining is a symptom of immaturity. Oh well, unfortunate for you that you missed out, that’s life, move on. It doesn’t affect your real life. It’s a video game. Play it or don’t.
I quit DF after the first tier because of IRL reasons, so for me, having the mobs at level 70 manageable at 405 gear level was nice.
People who came into the game at 450+ gear level may have melted the world like a hot knife through butter, but I had to take my time. I spent three very long no-life days doing only main quest campaign stories, fishing, and picking every herb I saw to hit 80.
I see all of the people saying it took them only 6 hours to level, and I don’t really understand that. I read every quest, listened to every NPC conversation, and watched every cinematic. I moved steadily but slowly through it. The story is GOOD. The new NPCs are GOOD. The zones felt great to me. I like all four of them, and I hit 80 in the middle of the main campaign during the third zone’s story (Hallowfall).
There are still hundreds of side quests, tons of delves for me to check out, lots of easy gearing options available to me.
I fail to see why making the mobs crush an alt’s face is important for the survival of the new expansion. I don’t understand why they’re doing it. Inviting players who took a break back into the fold by allowing them to get through the first level of questing without a series of frustrating corpse drags was not detrimental to the player experience from my end.
If you leave a previous expansion in maxed out latest tier gear, you will utterly roll the first two zones of leveling in a new expansion. It has ever been thus. What ARE they doing this for?
It’s not a scandal to want the game to not be a complete joke balancing wise.
Have to laugh at the consistency of the strawman arguments.
The timing of this change is piss-poor.
I for one think the leveling should be made more difficult. I am literally killing elites in 2 button presses on a character that was given the 70 boosted gear. Leveling is feeling like a pointless chore as the combat is meaningless. Everything just dies almost instantly. There is no danger at all.
Oh noooo, it’s gonna take slightly longer to level alts now!!!
Who tf cares.
At level 70 you are geared up for it. Most people right now are almost 200 ilvls ahead of what the expansion is tuned for. Only a few people are entering the expansion at the ilvl its tuned for right now.
Taking 5+ hits doesn’t make it less of a chore. Leveling is a chore, PERIOD. That’s why it being quick is BETTER. You’d rather have to waste your time hitting mobs longer for no reason?
Because I got it for free with the edition I was always going to buy. So it’s not a big deal.
Maybe not even as you get a buff for every level 80 that applies to your alts.
