Blizzard Nerfing Leveling After Global Release is a SCANDAL

It has not always been a thing what are you even talking about? I can’t think of a single expansion (besides this one) where lower levels were able to one shot dungeon bosses.

Were people strong? Sure. But if you don’t see an issue with how it is currently, I feel like you weren’t running dungeons, or paid someone to level your character.

I’m playing a Brew Monk. with some Pre-patch Purples.
and the mobs die in 2-3 hits. 70-74 so far

A level 70 wind walker monk could also pull the everything and solo it last night. Thank you to that player for capping three 9 minute dungeons so I could finish leveling my dk.

There’s a list of 1000000 things that didn’t get fixed during beta. There’s no grand conspiracy to benefit early access, there’s just not enough people to so everything that needs to get done.

nope, it’s good, you’re intentionally assuming bad intentions,
the game was kinda broken in a weird way and they fixed it. That’s it.
“worst possible time to fix it” lmao what? before 90% of characters level? Youre being absurd

To be fair, you couldn’t buy a weekend of boosted XP in 2007, either.

lol this reminds me of the scene from the movie “The Rock” after they fire the first missile.

“We’re not gutless, we’re incompetent, is that right?”

There has never been an expansion where the ilvl gap from quest greens at the previous expansion max level was as great as the endgame raid gear. With the implementation Blizzard has with scaling content based on player level and not gear this is the expected outcome.

Are you saying with everything Blizzard has done I should assume good intentions? And I explained why it was the worst possible time, I guess that slipped your mind though. But don’t mind me, I think your corpo overlords are calling you to their defense again.

Can we add that all our warbound gear from the pre expansion event WAS REMOVED! Like had I know I would have equiped it on my toons I was planning on leveling!

When you have Blizz’s workplace reputation you are not going to get a whiff of any top talent. So they do the best they can with who they have.

You’re being so aggressive. Yes I think you should assume people working on a game they love have good intentions. Yes, they make mistakes. The people working on the game aren’t “corpo overlords”.

Do I think the game is worse than it could be because of corporate level decisions like the RTO mandate and profit driven layoffs? Absolutely. But that’s not the fault of the people actually still there doing the work.

All this rage because a level 70 can’t solo a dungeon anymore? I think you need some perspective.

First. Grow thicker skin. If what I said is bothering you I don’t know how you operate in the real world.

Second. You’re right, it is not the fault of the devs but of management. It is interesting when I speak of Blizzard as a whole you immediately assume I am talking about the dev team. Blizzard isn’t run by devs, it is run by soulless husks that wouldn’t blink an eye if they could charge you for breathing air. Devs deserve our support. Management deserves nothing but distrust and the assumption that whatever they do isn’t in the interest of players.

Has it? Has it really?

Yep it went backwards. You get weaker as you level. Stay 70 you can literally wreck things.

except you were literally accusing the devs of deliberately pushing a fix to the game at a bad time for nefarious reasons. Unless you think some corporate manager prevented them from fixing it until it would make you the most mad. Which is ridiculous. Also you don’t have to be a jerk “in the real world”. Being a jerk is actually far more common online.

Every big game studio is crap and has ‘blizzard bs’ as Chris Metzen put it. Top talent is in every bigger game studio 'cause they pay well for the credentials even if you don’t know about it. You never hear about the great tech artists or the grunt workers who chew through work, and this and that… You really only ever hear about leads, at best.

Or the horror stories many years later. Pirate Software has been kind to share these stories more in depth lately this last year or so lol

Uh-huh. ok. yep. I specifically called out the devs in my original post let me go up and… oh look at that. I said Blizzard. Don’t put words in my mouth. And I think it was a corporate manager that held them off until after the early access. I would not have nearly as much issue with it if they had done it before EA started. And it’s not being a jerk, it’s being honest. Sometimes reality hurts.

Lol o please. I hit level 80 with about 12 hours on this character, that is because I took my time, it was probably less but I am going to say 12.

edit: Leveling is fine if not better than EA.

And some people say WoW is not pure elitism, by design.
