Because there isn’t any real fix for this issue that isn’t giving alliance better racials for pvp (humans and night elves specifically) or straight up telling people who want to play horde no. Server transfers won’t solve the issue because when one faction has so many more players across the board you can spread them around all you want, but they will still outnumber you.
Could you imagine going to create a character on a server and a big box popped up saying - ALLIANCE ONLY CREATION FOR THIS SERVER. Yea because that is enticing… Forcing people into playing a specific faction on a said server is dumb AF.
and watch all of your players leave out of disgust for not being able to play when they want to play and who they want to play on the server that they want.
I already backed it up with my reasoning. I guess we will see what blizzard decides to do. Feel free to reply back with a I told you so if you’re right.
My opinion is based on personal experience with both vanilla and retail. Them adding a faction queue wouldn’t upset me personally. While they took away my census addon the last time I checked before it broke Rattlegore was almost even in faction population.
I swear, the fact that people refuse to consider how horribly this idea would mess up pve stuff astounds me. Raid night? Say horde has a dozen guilds all trying to do MC or eventually bwl etc, but the alliance population is so low that none of the horde guilds can get their full raid team online.
the only way that blizzard could have actually fixed the faction imbalances would have been to put bgs in at the start before anyone was invested in their characters. by the time bgs come out in phase 3 people will be too invested despite horde sitting in 15-30m queues for 1 wsg match. with people rerolling, they could have all rerolled on different servers as well, balancing them out better.
Nah, it’s okay, because forcing people to swap factions or servers is better for everyone in their mind, therefore the inconveniences of individual players being forced to either play what they don’t enjoy, or be forced off a server they do enjoy, mean nothing in the long run… despite it probably causing a lot of people to just stop playing. But it’s for the greater good!
There’s a really easy fix… There’s these and other WoW forums. Make a post. Talk about your servers imbalance, and invite people to play on your server.
what do you propose? they don’t let people roll new toons of certain factions on certain servers? what if i want to play with my friends?
go ahead. give me a good perfect solution to this.
