Blizzard found a new way to fail with customer support

They only way they can come to the forums for attention is have a sub

Using this phrase right here tells me everything I ever need to know about you. Congrats.

Take off the tinfoil hat. That serves no purpose.

i’m sorry you didn’t get the answer you wanted. that doesn’t mean they’re not doing their job.

the text may be, that doesn’t mean no human is looking at the tickets.

It is. Understaffed, underpaid, overworked and how many tickets per hour did you resolve reviewed people. This isn’t a oh pity on them point but rather a it is people not AI and be mad at the company for creating the work environment they have.

Well, don’t do that. It’s in their best interest to not be honest, and it’s been proven. It’s like the AI that responds “Yeah I’m a human lol” then instantly responds when asked to create a huge line of code with said huge line of code. The amount of times I’ve caught CS not being honest makes it hard to believe them.

Note: The automated behavior warning is delayed

It’s been getting worse and worse ever since they laid off most of the Customer Support team. Now we have a skeleton crew using AI to handle most of the complaints. It’s shameful, but that’s been Blizzard ever since Activision took over. We hoped Microsoft would sort them out, but that hasn’t been the case thus far.

No, that doesnt make sense. Why would you give a company your money that you thought couldnt get worse? Its massively hypocritical.

They’re not wrong.

Alot of people are just waiting for the company to fold.

Anybody who’s been paying attention knows that the Blizzard of old is well and truly gone.

What it is now is just a marionet.

Blizzard has been using template responses, different from AI, since before Activision took over.

Legally it is not. You can build whatever fantasy you want tho, as the other poster pointed out.

“But ill sit and eat lies and made up stories about how their CS is awful and horrid since it fits my narrative.”

Best post in this thread. 10/10

Usually when people complain without offering options or what they think are potential “Real” solutions, they aren’t doing this. They are just complaining to vent. There are way to many posters here who “hate blizzard sooooo much ooooooo” yet give them at minimum 15 bucks a month anyway.

On those rare occurrences yes, however they were far from the norm and this is colored by nostalgia. If you are referring to the old phone number, that was NEVER for GM issues like bugs or ToS issues, it was a technical help line that was abused by people using it outside of it’s intended purpose.

I get it everyone, it’s easier to be angry than it is to understand how processes work. Blizzard is not out to get you or scam you.
The system is not run by AI, it is run by humans. If it was AI you would have more textual errors but faster response times.

There are also issues that GM’s cannot assist with. Regardless of what you believe or not this is the case. Missing items can be tracked with in game code, if the code does not match with what the player says, then that’s that. They have to believe the code over the player, otherwise it becomes easily abuseable by bad actors.

INB4 eternally unhappy posters screech “bootlicker” or other lines you want to use to explain why you would rather be mad then rational.

And we all appreciate that you’ll be here paying for it to the very end.

I doubt that’s true.

I don’t. You’ve been here acting like Blizzard kicked your puppy for years.

The fact that you’re still here anyways makes it all performative and meaningless.

You’ll be here forever, still putting on the show for attention.

Given context of our history on here I think people can come to their own conclusions.

Like legality has anything to do with any company or person in power, and actually stops anyone.

I know language evolves and such, but it seems these days people think any form of automation at all - even providing a simple pre made template based off key words, is Artificial Intelligence.

They never programmed BASIC with IF THEN commands. There is no decision making, the hallmark of AI, just basic programmed template responses.

The templates were written by humans - and there are several that it tries to provide during high queue times. Esp if the issue can’t be handled by a GM. Like bugs.

IF [keyword = bug] THEN [provide bug reporting template]

The GMs do also use those form letters, or templates. They don’t seem to do a good job selecting which ones to use though which if REALLY frustrating to players. I get it when it is the first auto responder, but even some of the later replies on re-opened tickets are wrong. Not sure if training or what.

Nobody likes being stuck in a phone tree/or computer response tree though. Almost every company uses it and it sucks. Except Chewy. Chewy is awesome.

Dismissive response noted. Carry on I guess. Though you are choosing to just be mad with zero reasons other than those you have created on your own.

Must be a difficult way to live.

Just curious - why do some you believe that MicroBlizz does not use AI? What leads you to this conclusion?

That seems to be your case not mine, especially given you’re responding to a thread you do not like that upsets you.

Not happening anytime soon. The company’s value has quadrupled since WoW’s launch and has had net increases in revenue in fifteen of those twenty years. Now it’s owned by one of the most successful tech companies in history. Ticket responses may suck, but the finances are solid.
