RDF belongs in LKC. Classic andies got their classic cake and were able to eat it too.

Now they want our LKC cake, but they don’t like our flavor, so they demand everyone conforms to them so they can get their own low tier scuffed version of LKC at the cost of everyone else.

The classic community is a community of self absorbed, entitled man children. If you hate RDF and want the “spirit of classic” so damn bad, then good news for you, classic servers are still up and running. Go there.

Boosting will never go away man. I don’t even partake in it either way, but it has existed since way back in actual vanilla (my guild back then would sell Ony kills to unguilded warriors who wanted the sword for example), and it’s just become an actual booming business. Trying to fight against it is a losing battle. Those people don’t diminish your accomplishments, unless you have way too much personal stock in those in game accomplishments.

I say all this just to say that arguing against any feature (RDF or not), and using anti-boosting as a reason is never a good argument. Unless Blizzard does a complete turn around in policy, this is never changing.

I think a lot less people would quit than people like you claim would. It’s really not the end of the world. And if they really would quit over it, I’m sure they would love to go back to playing just classic vanilla etc.

Also, why can’t there just be both options. Some servers with, some servers without. That’s compromise.

Wrath also stagnated the game, it climbed until phase 1 wrath then went downhill till cata launch, then dropped down because the wrath players who stayed couldn’t do mechanics without AVR and the people who felt insulted by the multitude of low effort catch up gear. The term we usually use eludes me… low effort gear.

Wrath is WoWs peak sub numbers, but it rides tbc success

Subs were essentially stagnant all through wotlk, from the beginning, there was a minor dip and a minor jump. They did not go downhill as you claim.

Trying to blame that on any one reason is in bad faith. There are thousands of potential reasons that all could combine into why wotlk was essentially stagnant, but your argument is completely opinion based, not fact based.

Also technically the start of Cata was peak wow sub numbers, so you are wrong here again.

Yup it isn’t. I’d like to play wrath classic. Not this bastardized version of the game. But blizzard has changed it’s mind before so I might play it later. I wouldn’t try to play it now even with the rdf with the hours long queue. I like playing games but they’re not that important to me. I have lots of other things to do with my life
