The beans and bacon of the go play retail being related to RDF is the fact that it turns a experience into an automated system. Retail is nothing but automated systems and one track gameplay. Classic has 0 conveyor belts, therefore RDF has no place in it, because we do not want automated systems, thats why classic was requested. Todays systems are made for pay to win, lazy people with the attention span of a squirrel.
I would 100% put more time and effort into WotLK classic if RDF was in the game, because it would alleviate the part of alts that I despise the most. I enjoy running dungeons; I do not enjoy running to dungeons. RDF should have never been taken out of classic, and that was a mistake on their part.
I’ll play around with me one toon but eventually I am going to get tired of the convoluted crap they put in place of the RDF. Now, I never went on the forums back in original WotLK but in-game everyone seemed to love it. I’ve only ever seen complaints about RDF on the forums.
They really need to back track this decision and implement RDF in. I was so excited when they were implementing classic servers for them to get to WotLK (I had 0 interest in dealing with all the time syncs and inconveniences of classic and TBC again, once in my life was enough), and now that it doesn’t have RDF… I don’t know how long I’ll be able to stick with it. Eventually I am going to get bored on my priest and when that happens, I’m not going to quest to level alts up, which means I’ll either just dip right back to retail for Dragonflight or I’ll find another game all together. I imagine there are a ton of people in the same boat I’m in. They’d probably get a LOT more participation in classic eras if they’d implement the thing.
For those of you who are against it, you’re just hurting yourselves by pushing away playerbase because your afraid it will ruin your “community” LOL.

The people that you are arguing here are interested in playing Wrath more than retail but those people and me of course are disappointed that RDF is not being included at all. You could go on and on about how RDF killed social interaction but the amount of dungeons I have ran in my 4 years of Classic, the only words I would see is “Yo” and “GG, thanks for the run” and its really rare I would see any social interaction within the dungeon… which this is without RDF.
These people have no idea that the poor attitude and mentality of the sweatiest most toxic individuals has been fed by instant gratification and the lack of need for social standards. They want RDF because they want to get their hit of that sweet sweet dopamine and as addicts they will lash out at any one that delays that gratification. Tank not moving fast enough? KICK THEM NOW! Some one does less dps than they should? KICK THEM THEY ARE SCUM. This attitude drove away the majority of the player base that plays for fun and its all because people are addicts and addicts lack impulse control.
This happens in manually formed groups as well. In fact, the majority of people aren’t even getting an invite. This is a tired and outdated argument from someone who clearly doesn’t play the game anymore. Keep posting on the level 13 main. This game either needs to adapt or it will die. RDF didn’t create toxicity and if you think it did you’re delusional lmao. We have people who wont go to dead servers because their so afraid of being left in the dirt by blizzard. Cross server rdf queuing literally eliminates that worry all the way up until naxx raiding and can help lower pop servers grow and have appeal. These are things people who play the game can see obviously.
I get your problem. If rdf is added all you so called friends will rush to play with 4 strangers rather than group with you. The only way you’ll get a group is if people have no other option.
