Blizzard, can we get the option to pause unused game time?

Right now, we can only receive refunds for unused game time if we don’t play the game for (xx) amount of days.

I’m confused. You want a refund for something you already used?

And this is the only thing that exists for pausing anything:

You’re confusing yourself.

You deleted your original post and rewrote it. This is what I get for not quoting you.

You said they would only refund you the unused game time and the original title was something about lack of quality.

Out of respect. I don’t like the game as it is, and I purchased a 3-month subscription. I was informed that they won’t refund a partial purchase(meaning that I can’t get the 2-months that are unused refunded).

I’d be fine with only paying for one month and wasting it if they adjusted my purchase to reflect a single month purchase of game time(there are discounts for multiple-month puchases) and refunded the balance.

This isn’t mentioned anywhere in their refund policy(or wasn’t at the time; I haven’t checked the refund policy lately).

I don’t want to play the game right now. I can’t get a refund. Should this company just throw my money away?

Ah… I see. Thank you for explaining that.

You could try a second ticket. I can’t promise anything, but worth a shot.

I spoke with a few GM’s. They don’t help players unless they can.

Again: It is stated nowhere in their refund policy that they can’t refund partial purchases.

If a company is not honoring their refund policy, you can report them by: contacting your state’s consumer protection agency, filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), reaching out to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) if you suspect deceptive practices, or contacting your credit card company to dispute the charge if applicable; always try to resolve the issue directly with the company first by clearly outlining their policy and your request for a refund.

^ This is an option that I’m considering; but I’ll wait and see what happens.

I’d move this to the Customer Support Forum and talk with them, honestly. They cannot do refunds, but they can explain the policies better.

That’s right; they won’t honor that for me. I was informed that they were unwilling to refund a partial purchase.

So the part where you state:

This says 2 months unused, you purchased 3 months. Looks to me like that was more than 14 days ago.

I think he’s counting any playing time towards that first month. For all you know he started playing again 4 days ago.

I wrote the ticket before 14 days transpired after the purchase.

That wouldn’t matter. All that matters is the purchase date and the date he tried for a refund. Was it or was it not within 14 days.

You need to move this to the Customer Support Forum.

Edit your title and you can move it to a different forum.

It is not that they are unwilling, it is that their billing system is unable to do that. They can only refund the whole purchase, or none of the purchase.

Your block of game time is a singular unit and it no longer meets the refund policy requirements if you bought that block more than 14 days ago, or used it at all.

They don’t have the ability to refund part of a used gametime block. The whole thing has to be unused for the purchase to be refunded.

You’re welcome to pursue any or all of those options. It isn’t likely to alter the outcome in any way.

Ok, so

“We’ll refund any unused World of Warcraft subscription within 14 days of the purchase.”

Literally mean “unused” as in not logged in for any time at all?

I didn’t read it like that, and if true (not doubting you) I can see how this language could be confusing.

Yes it is. I’ve done it before in another video game and got a result that no one else has ever gotten. You can’t break the law or you can be sued.

This isn’t clearly stated in the refund policy.

Exactly. OP bought a 3-month block of game time, not three individual months of game time.
