Are you running any other automation software on your computer? ANY at all? Example Autohotkey. If that is in memory even if not being used with WoW may cause a cheating positive.
If you are multboxing ANYTHING at all that helps with that, even manipulating your OS, is not allowed. We can’t streamline it at all.
The reason why this is an important question (assuming you are actually interested in learning what you may have done wrong), is because many multiboxers don’t quite understand just how harsh the rules have become over the last few years.
There can be no streamlining of your play. None. At all. Now, the trap that many multiboxers fall into is that they think “streamlining” as using key replications software or outside macros that violate the 1 keypress = 1 action standard. Where they are getting into trouble are the “minor” things; things that they don’t think gives them any kind of advantage.
One of the biggest ones we have seen in here is setting a keybind to their mouse wheel, and using the wheel while hovering over an inactive window. This is streamlining, because you need to click the inactive window to activate it first, then use the keybind.
Another common one is when players use their work computer to play WoW, and their IT department has put programs like AutoHotKey on the system. Once Warden detects AHK, it’s a violation even if it’s a valid program to be using for your work applications. I know you said it’s a fresh install with only iTunes and WoW, so that’s not likely the culprit.
First ban yes. Level 10-20s soloing old dungeons. Main character solos dungeon with no hardware/software. One button pushed by me and one action from it, with the alt character on follow. Alt+tab to switch windows. No mouse macros to change windows. Easy and simple, you don’t need any programs to do it. Nothing that should of been against the TOS.
Second ban was one character on a new account on the new computer. Qued a few dungeons and battlegrounds, few quests. Banned on the second day.
I’m just giving up on the game. Something is up and I don’t have a clue. 15+ year account gone and out $200 in game time.
Just to be clear, being “easy and simple” or not “needing any programs” is not the entire breadth of the rule. Nothing sticks out from what you describe here, but as you said:
I agree. This would be something that’s up to you to figure out. Blizzard can’t really help, nor can we, as we don’t have access to your system. In the end, if you do come back in the future, just run one account. Multiboxing, in and of itself, is allowed, but unsupported (which is why Blizzard can’t help). But it is extremely easy to cross the line, now that there is absolutely no streamlining whatsoever.
What did the email you received say the reason for your most recent account closure is?
To me, this smells more like a financial issue. Like using a card that’s not in your name or something like that. I don’t see any other reason why Blizz would ban an account in one day if what you’re telling us is the full truth.
