Easy, the only answer I can come up with is;
They just don’t care anymore. They don’t care about what they would refer to as a “small” issue; they probably believe that the customization choices won’t give them any sort of profit therefore won’t do it; at least not currently.

which is weird because customization is a thing that received so well, even blizzard said they are so happy that the community was positive about it and they surely heard our opinions that we want to other races receive it aswell, i know people pre ordered shadowlands just because of the hype from customizations so i kinda believe it can give them profit, ignoring the community like that just motivates people unsubbing imo
the statement in Q&A alone was enough to make few people to unsub
what it shows is that they don’t really care about the game but profit, sure profit as a company always needs to be in mind but it needs to be at least done with passion

and with treatment like that to their playerbase of ignoring feedback and giving big fat middle finger to any of our ideas or suggestions is a nice way to get back to that subscribers numbers dropping off again
also notice how shadowlands was an expansion they broke records with, the same expansion they introduced more customizations, it was one of its selling points and then they decide back off of this idea, seriously it boggles my mind

It’s remarkably sad in my opinion it’s a literal example of “How the mighty have fallen” at least in my opinion because I remember Blizzard used to actually care for their players…now we’re reduced to this.

honestly i thought after the disaster called BFA surely blizzard learn from few mistakes and do listen of what the community, their customers want and think, at the start of the expansion of shadowlands it seemed like they finally listen to us, finally some hope restored and then after that blizzcon it feels like they going back to their BFA ways of not listening
this response about customization in Q&A really made me want to quit the game and unsub and its just… sad… WoW is a game that i truly love and put in countless hours and finally after seeing improvement from blizzard i got my faith in them restored all of it just to be crushed, if they continue to ignore us its only matter of time until they hit rock bottom again in subscriber numbers

Sadly that’s going to be the ONLY way that they actually start listening to their fanbase more I believe; if their sub count drops and lose enough money they’ll be forced to reevaluate their methods and such but I think even then they’ll just let the game die before they start fixing their issues.

This is purely a business decision mate. Character customization is a big ticket feature. You will get it to hook people into the start of an expansion, or lure people back to finish one.
It won’t drive renewed subs or continuity because they know there is an ebb and flow to the player base. Why waste a big feature on 9.1 or 9.2 when you can reel in a whale on 9.3 or 10.

its just sad to see this situation like this, wish blizzard just learnt from their past mistakes…
can’t argue with that sadly, all we can do is raise our voices as community in hope they actually care about us and listen and not see us as dollar signs with legs…
we are customers paying for their product, why should customers keep paying for a company that just ignore them and poorly brush off all of their requests for so long, because for me… i’d better spend my money elsewhere

imagine you’re lvl 10 nightborne in STV doing quests
then lvl 60 blizzard ganks you with huge weapon of “NO! NO CUSTOMIZATION FOR YOU!” kills you instantly and then /spits on your corpse
