I’ll keep my Lizards thanks.
It’s the least we can get after getting shafted for no Sethrak.

But where would all of those other races fit into the theme of a Dragon based expansion ?
Like others have said people have been asking for a new mail class ,a new range class and a dragon race for years and all 3 fit that desire for those 3 things people have been asking for ,for years and do so in a way that is thematic to the expansion .
Not saying none of those others shouldn’t happen but it should be done in a way that it would fit the expansion they are introduced as being a playable race.
No like I’m actually convinced I do. They’ve been around since WC 1, there’s zero reason for them not to be.
Let’s not tell the guy who regularly RPs Ogres he doesn’t want them
I mean… they haven’t added a ranged dps OR a mail class since Vanilla. Heck we even LOST one of both when Survival got switched to melee.
So yes, they DID listen to the playerbase there.
Look Blizz!
I found my perfect picture compromise for not having crick elves and a better looking dragonborn. A Dragonborn bard, murloc frog thing maybe it could be Pocopoc given a real form like Pinocchio, and a couple of Kul Tiran Draenei/ man’ari love birds on an epic quest!
To me, it doesn’t represent the playerbase at all. A new race should be new. Not a new head and an old body.
People have wanted playable Dragons equally as long as Ogres at least. San’layn seems to be happening in the form of a Darkfallen allied race supposedly(but it won’t 100% be the actual San’layn of course). I’m glad Tinkers are not a thing yet. I am sure they will get added in an expansion not themed around Dragons.
They didn’t listen to us. The stockholders determined that a caster class would retain the most players AT THIS POINT, YEARS LATER, so here we have a new caster class that no one asked for. Specifically.
Think it would gone well to restrict them to SL zones or not have any at all for an entire expansion? Collectibles have always been in the game.
yes, how dare you.
Ion: “Why are they booing us?”
Danuser: “No sir… umm… their saying Boo-urns.”
Players: Just give us back flying as it was before pathfinder! Maybe focus on player housing!
Blizzard: So you want us to revamp flying to some crappy gliding system and ignore housing? Understood! Please wait for us to put out the Beta so you can give feedback that we will again, ignore!
I think people had been calling for this
In all fairness, “people” in general have been calling for many things
But the OP is suggesting no one wanted this.
Fair, but I was honestly ignoring that random Classic alt with a low post count lol
Wrong, and from what we can tell we’re losing some baseline abilities so it can ‘feel good’ to get them back through talents.
Dragons, sure, but probably not what we got. Do love how Blizz defenders will go “Haha, you asked for it! Now you got it!” whenever Blizz monkeys paw something to make it so bad most the people that were asking for something near it don’t want it.
I will take the cool dragon people over more elves and ogres thank you.
What is the absolute OBSESSION with tinkers online?
So yet another Blood Elf model with a different skin gotcha. Lame.
Literally the only one I agree with. Ogres should’ve been in since Classic
Awesome D&D pic! Love it
Now that I see this I think the story team is heavily taking inspiration from D&D… Well we already have an “Asmodeus” in “Sire Denathrius”, maybe a “Loth” as “Queen Azshara” and “Tharizdun the Chain God” in Sargeras… maybe?
I’m assuming that in this New Expansion we might meet, “Bahamut” (Good God of Dragon), “Tiamat” (Evil Goddess of Dragons) and maybe “Asgorath” or Io (God of all Dragons) in Galakrond… or its equivalent in WoW universe.
Ill have to re-fresh my memory again on does old D&D campaigns to see how heavily or light this new WoW story takes inspiration on the campaign regarding these D&D Characters or their roles in the story.
