I feel kinda disgusted…i made an 89 twink since my friend really wanted me and another friend to roll around and mess with it a bit and ohhh boy, one shotting people from camo on my marksman hunter is disgusting, but kinda fun. 27-3 on the one bg i did yesterday

And look at all those gems, something heirloom gear and quest gear lacks. That’s literally the only thing that separates a twink from an heirloom enchanted toon.

Pretty much. I’m sure if i had a fresh lvling toon i can get the same effect with saltwater potion and virmins bite or damn close to it

There are a few pieces of quest gear with gem slots available. I know there are some jewelery pieces anyway. I get your point though, and agree. Gems are whats pushing stats higher in these brackets, not the gear itself.

The good news is if you wanna at 85 just have someone run you through dragon soul you can buy the int/agi+5 crit with marks of honor so they aren’t too difficult to get…i spent maybe 2 hours gearing

Yea, this bracket in particular gear is everywhere. BC, Wrath, Cata, and MoP all reside in this bracket. It’s one of the things that make it fun for me.

Also though, Strength users are not lucky enough to have gems they can buy for marks of honor. They have to go to the AH to use either a flat +6 STR gems, or get something lower from AH like 3 STR + 3 Crit, or farm BC heroics at a chance of maybe a gem a day of 5 STR & 4 crit

Trying to farm +5 INT & +4 Vers gems on my druid is a freakin blast I tell ya :confounded:

I feel it hard. I tried to gear a warrior but my server is so dead there are never any JCs with the pattern so i’ve had to resort to lvling JC myself and do it lmao

So as twinks, how would you guys feel about reducing effectiveness of gems? That’s one option. The second option could be to add them to heirloom gear, since the majority of levelers are wearing these. Not saying Blizzard will do either, but for sake of discussion.

Having slots for gems that auto-scaled the same way heirlooms do would be awesome! That would probably go a long way toward easing disparity in gear in the brackets with gems.

I’m not opposed with bringing the power level down. It accomplishes my main point in all of these threads, which has always been to not separate the playerbase.

It would be interesting to see gem slots added to boa with gems that kinda scaled to your lvl…like 1 agi 1 crit at lvl 20, i’d be down and it would be fun i reckon

Gems currently scale to our levels and have Item level requirements which have been adjusted since launch.

These items were great at the time, and have retained their value.
I would not agree with actual gems being made into BOA items, but the Gem slot additions would be a great option.
Promoting old world activity for old world Professions
(gems, JC in this case.) are an important area to keep active IMO.

I’d mostly be ok with any gear/gem/enchant scaling balance changes as long as they don’t make gear completely irrelevant or make us want stat-free white gear for ilvl again.

I only twink and per char i have half as many and they can get one EACH DUNGEON! basically so many things i simply cannot do. Although what ever, what ever happens, let the cringe get harder?

Going to go out on a limb here and say multiboxing is a different topic than twinking. I’d rather see multiboxing discussed on a new thread than go back and forth for 100s of posts on this one.
