Blizz ruined m+

Lul, 1 less piece of loot per dungeon and people crap themselves, it’s completely fine and with the great vault complementing accomplishments loot is more rewarding whenever, I hope they dont read these forums.

sure a pug can do all those things … and yet here we are … because some people expect it, while others don’t. stop expecting bad comp pugs to play like a twitch streamer and m+ will be a much more enjoyable place for everyone.

One of guildies literally asked whether there’s a loot lock for Mythic plus because he’s done 3 keys and didn’t drop a single gear.

M+ was created to give solo players something to do and gear to aspire to get. After a certain threshold then it becomes about coordinated groups, but below the max gear cap you get, which is +10 now I think? Or maybe they raised it to 15+. not sure, never cared for M+.

There’s zero evidence that loot % has been changed. In fact, measures have been put to prevent it from being worse. Your Legendary powers and Conduits are not part of the loot table.

You gonna have to show me the quote on that because M+ has NEVER been advertised as “content for solo players”.

M+ is the evolution of Challenge Modes, which is the evolution of YEARS of the playerbase asking for dungeons to be meaningful. Here we are. We can debate whether it was the right path or not, but that is a different conversation.
The “nerf” to gear was a simple time gate for the first week only, so people didn’t spam 15’s and get super geared and train wreck Mythic Raiding next week. Next week the Vault should be as intended in terms of scaling gear rewards.

This pretty much sums up WoW.

Great in guild or friend runs.

Terrible in PuGs.

Its implied, its never been advertised as strictly for guilds either, especially considering raiding is catered for guilds.

A lot easier to pug 5man content over 20+. The “nerf” needed to happen.

Not really, the assumption is that “pug bad” as if you yourself aren’t a pug when you do it. You are more forgiving when friends/guildies make mistakes. Pugs really aren’t that much different, people just have this assumed negative views on them when they don’t realize that they themselves are a “pug”.

Even the chest at the end of the week feels weak. I have only done two keys this week. I did a 2 and a 4. My current reward is going to be based off 2. People get punished for doing the lower keys now. So if a guild wants to help carry a lower geared player through a smaller key now they get screwed on loot at the end of the week. Stupid design!

this is not how it works

you should get +4 loot

No, it isn’t. It’s organized-coordinated group content.

I never said otherwise. Gearing is fine right now. There’s no “scarcity” of gear if you are doing the content.

That is not how it works at all.

Of course it wont when the community is full of elitists that want the dungeon done in ten minutes and you better have a ilvl higher than the available gear in the game to do it even if its an M0 dungeon.

Wrong. You are not understanding how the Vault works.

If you do one +14 (I think that is the cap this week) and 50 +2, your loot options will be +14, +2, +2. Take the +14 and this is literally zero difference between this and BfA.

(I can explain the chest further if people are not understanding.)

And solo players can participate in this at any given time, they can’t do that with raids as easily. So yes, its catered more toward solo players than it is toward guild players.

It’s actually a pretty terrible idea for solo players even at not-very-high keys, but ok.

You just described the BIGGEST difference from BfA and SL ROFL. The fact you get to choose your reward based on the M+'s you run. The terrible design of it, is that it actually encourages elitist play because you won’t want to do any low keys. You get punished for doing lower keys. They need to change it to where they take the three highest keys, otherwise no one is going to want to help any guildies out or friends if it means gimping their gear choices.

2+1 would be perfect. We don’t need bonus rolls or titanforging to come back, just one more piece per chest.

it’s ruined by poorly formed pugs, yes. I’ve met a lot of great people by inviting them into m+ groups.

But your point remains correct - m+ is best consumed by organized groups. The experience will be immeasurably better.

It does if you do. I have 30 or so people on my friends list I’ve added via M+, many of them I ran dungeons with pretty regularly in BfA. Does m+ on it’s own foster community? no, but the community is absolutely there - It takes effort on the part of the individual.
