M+ is the greatest thing they have added to this game in 15 years.
If you get anxiety over a timer you’re welcome to join the many “for completion” groups.

Bingo. I do it with guildies (whatever guildies are on and want to do M+ at the time, so not a permanent group) and it is fun. We go to have fun and hopefully someone gets loot. Sometimes we time. Sometimes we don’t. We try to time but sometimes someone is lagging, or having an off day, or whatever the case may be. No reason to rage, there will be a next time.
I have no real life friends that play.
Luck had nothing to do with it.
I searched for a LONG time, didn’t settle with dumb people, and even realm transferred to get where I am. I also did my part to have all my Alts ready for what was needed, instead of expecting stuff to be given. It’s a give and take.
There are HUNDREDS of threads here all the time about people that stay in toxic guilds all the time for no reason. That’s on them. There are plenty of players in this game.
Doesn’t m+ as well? Just not for everyone…like the raid!
Honestly, they should just remove mythic raids. Those players are the most toxic in the game. They’re also primadonnas, whining anytime the majority of players are allowed anything nice. They’re swamp and have to go.
Still got lucky lol. A lot of people are searching for what you have. Just because you put effort into doesn’t mean others will have the same success. This game has a pretty terrible community over all anymore.
You play in one of THE BEST community driven servers. I can vouch for that because all my Alliance toons are on Moon Guard.
If you think this community is THAT terrible, not sure what you are doing playing the game. What’s more, if you truly can’t find good people to play with on MG, I have to say… the problem might be you.
And no, luck has nothing to do with it. I didn’t “stumble” on people. I looked exactly for what I wanted until I found it. So can you. So can anyone else. It might take longer or shorter for some, but if you put the effort everyone can always find what they need in this game.
Oh the RP community is great on MG, but they are mostly just interested in RP. Trying to find a raiding guild and good M+ teams on MG is kind of tough.
Mythic+ a good thing no question. BLiz should consider redoing the UI.
Unfortunately, sometimes we have to make sacrifices. Maybe that means you need to transfer to a different server. Maybe that means you need to lower expectations and just find a N/H raid group and see if there are enough to do M+> Communities are probably a good option as far as M+ goes though. I haven’t looked but I would think there are surely communities devoted to M+ formation. Join that and when you find people you really gel with (or whatever you standard is) asked if you can add them to Bnet to run keys some other time.
I am not saying it is easy, or nice (if we have to choose), but I fail to believe that it is completely impossible to get any content done if you wish to do that content.
the problem with m+ is everyone thinks every pug should be a perfect comp e-sport group that can stomp 3 packs at a time.
but its ok … cuz they saw it on twitch
the loot drop sux, but … this game was giving out way too much loot
Well, I mean if that’s what it takes to meet the timer then I don’t think it is “wrong” to expect that everyone applying to be in that key is capable of doing what is necessary for success.
I assume you are replying to me, so …
unfortunately, thats not how it works and to assume it is how it works is again … part of the problem. twitch streamers spend their lives min-maxing comps, gear, etc. to assume your average player is doing 1/10th of that is naive. to assume a low comp pug without coms can do what a coordinated group that practices together does, is … crazy
Pug doesn’t necessarily mean uncoordinated. If one is doing high(er) keys then they are going to likely need some forum of voice communication, regardless if it is friends or a pug.
This ideology has kind of taken over the game. The game for over a decade was a casual MMO with a dash of some tough bosses in raids.
Now, everyone is segregated into their own little difficulties with the highest difficulty being pretty inaccessible to most of the casual player base.
You dont need to min-max to hit the timer. You might if you want to +3 the key.
The basic expectation of a pug is: do your job, avoid avoidables. Be competent.
80% of pugs refuse (not that they are incapable) to do that.
But I have said it before… M+ shouldn’t be pugged. That’s what guilds are for. But that’s just me.
Agreed, but I’d say even a guild specifically isn’t necessary. A group of likeminded players can be as equally effective. If you are blindly joining/inviting then yeah you are likely going to have a bad time of it, but I don’t believe the content was designed to be attempted in this way. It’s a raid(ish) piece of content, just with less people.
I don’t see why the hardest difficulty needs to be accessible to the casual player base?
And I don’t know why you’re implying this is a recent thing, at least casual players can actually see the content now. Casual players weren’t doing Naxx in Vanilla or Sunwell in TBC.
I completely agree with you.
M+ was actually ruining the game. And the loot rules havent changed that you can notice yet from BfA. If just feels worse because you’re trying so hard to gear ahead of everyone. Its more noticeable when you don’t get gear.
