You honestly think that with a HUGE casual base that blizzard has catered to over the years, that M+ being converted from purely aesthetic rewards, to a viable gearing choice wasn’t catered toward that “casual solo” player?
And that’s terrible. 3 per boss with 20 people is misery inducing.
No, timing 5 keys this week and getting zero loot feels pretty bad. Especially as a healer; most of these runs have been VERY stressful. I think I just have to stop doing M+, which I’m pretty sad about.
Im not sure thats a bad thing. Players are playing WoW to dominate nowadays. Dominate high keys. Dominate PvP. Dominate mythinc raiding.
It doesnt matter if high keys are rewarding high ilvl gear. Good for the players who are good enough to complete those keys.
Make the raid gear look more bad azz or have better set bonus’s - who cares.

High keys don’t reward as high a level of gear anymore, used to be they wouldn’t reward past heroic Ilvl which would have been a great change, guess too many people qqed over that so you can get mythic level from M+14/15 great vault.
It might be an unpopular opinion, but I actually like the timer. It pushes me to learn my class better and getting into a good flow can feel really good. I fear that if there wasn’t a timer you’d be forced to slog through 2+ hour dungeons with a 10k repair bill at the end.
I wouldn’t mind a timerless version though! It could feel more like a 5 man raid where you take your time with each pull and learn from your wipes rather than a speedy dungeon.
The weekly vault is a good system. I wont lie. Its definitely that thing that keeps a player coming back.
No, they really don’t. They get easier as you get gear. You don’t need to push higher then 15s.

It makes the raids they lovingly craft obsolete.

You’ll get better gear from the vault. But not from end of dungeon chests.
Speak for yourself: I’ve already run more mythic+ in Shadowlands than I did the entirety of BFA.
The dungeons are better, the mobs are way less annoying, loot feels rewarding and I feel like I’ve been given more of the tools I need to effectively heal them.
There’s nothing “ruined” about a gameplay mode that was dying on the vine in BFA.
That’s basically it… The people that think this is not a problem can enjoy playing by themselves in a few months. I think some sort of luck protection would be a good middle ground for M+
I’m at 50+ keys done. Yes 50+ since Tuesday. Not a single weapon drop yet. At this point I’m convinced I’ll be at the mercy of the great vault.
But the group does get rewarded? Sure it might not be you, but someone is growing in power from that run. If you pushed a higher key your Vault will reward you as well.
You can also spam M+ as long as you have your key and each run only takes 15-50 min depending on the group. You can spam this daily.
I legit don’t see the issue here.

Oh I see. So if I run a total of 4 keys I get two pieces of loot? One based on the highest key and one based on lowest?
