Blizz, please do something about spammers

Spammers are so annoying. The first thing I see when I enter org is trade chat spammers “selling” services for gold. I aways add them to my ignore list (which has a cap for whatever reason) and the others I report for spamming don’t seem to get banned. These spammers are doing exactly what the old gold sellers did. You banned them (gold sellers) now please ban these people blizzard.

Thank you.

Edit: People seem to misconstrued what I am saying. I will try my best to be understandable.

Gold seller = spamming in chat
Service seller = spamming in chat

Blizzard banned gold sellers, now they should ban service sellers for doing the same thing.

proof you can get banned for spamming:

Selling runs for gold isn’t against EULA. They’re relegated to trade chat. Because it is trade. They’re trading a service for gold.

Just leave the trade chat channel if you don’t want to see people trading?

Selling =/= Trading. They are different things.

Selling is trading. Trading gold for a service or gold for an item is what trade chat is there for.

Why did the gold sellers get banned for advertising their services? Was it because they sold gold with real money? oh wait these people also sell services for real money. I just googled “mythic +10 boosting” and there you go. these same people are selling their services for real money.

do you even know what the word trade means?

There is a difference between “selling M+ run for 500k gold” and “selling M+ run for $100.”

Group finder is littered with them. I report 3 or 4 of them every time I open it.

First of all, those prices are waaay off. Second of all, they are the same people that are spamming in trade chat about their “services” they are breaking the tos by selling things for real money

Trade chat would be used to sell things. And barter. If you only do it once that is not gonna get you to see what people are selling. I remember in wotlk it was so busy. Nowadays people barely type anything.

The problem with most of these services, isn’t really ran by a legitimate player, it’s just a bot spamming their website. Hell that’s what Stormrage is all times of the day.

If these “players” are actually bots, thats valid enough reason for blizzard to ban them!

It would be nice if there were still profession services or crafted items worth advertising in trade.

I kmow lol. Miss seeing those cool mounts for sell or soneone willing to buy stacks of resources.

Report the bot and then you’re done. Trying to ban everyone for selling in trade chat isn’t the answer.

Selling is service. And service is selling. Service is selling. And selling is service.
