Well, PVPers re the ones that asked for this. They didn’t like having to deal with the RNG of BfA gearing. PVEers seem mostly okay with it, so I see no reason for a change.
how is that irrelevant? raiding and dungeons are both still pve. its the same “brand” of content. arenas are not anywhere near the same as mythics or raiding. its not a fair comparison by any means.
I mean were playing a video game here right? Is it that unreasonable to think that 4 hours of arena gameplay should be rewarded similarly to 4 hours of M+ or raiding? Is work in arena not equal to work in pve content? Top pve’ers will not be required to pvp for gear.
we 100% DID NOT ask for this system. we asked for VENDORS to come back, not for things to be this heavily time gated. we wanted to be able to gear through pvp and not through pve like we used to be able to do for literally 10 years. all they had to do was use the same conquest system that theyve used since the very first arena season. they could have used any system all the way back from TBC through wod and we would be ok with it. but instead we have this.
It doesn’t matter if it’s under the same “brand,” which is loose at best. We could put all of WoW’s game modes under the brand of just “WoW stuff.” To do so would be reductive and limiting.
The fact of the matter is, if you wish to compete with the top 1%, you’ll have to do things you do not enjoy doing. That’s just the nature of online gaming, and that’s why it’s the 1%.
i cant wrap my head around the fact that youre saying raiding vs mythic plus is the same difference in gameplay as pvp vs raiding. theyre factually different and you cant argue against that.
i have no problem having to do some pve here and there for a few specific pieces of a full set like i would have had to do. but now almost every single piece of gear is going to come from pve because the conquest gear is so far behind time gating. there was a promise that we would be able to gear majority through pvp vendors, and then they announced how the conquest system will work which essentially makes the pvp vendors non existent.
You can’t wrap your head around it because I never said that. I’m saying the difference doesn’t matter. There’s a huge distinction with entirely different implications.
Are are able to gear majorly through PVP vendors, just not as fast to your liking apparently. I say this as respectfully as I can, but that’s more of a personal problem than it is a systematic one.
If it is a beutiful ecosystem why don’t pve’ers have to participate in our content. Not that I’d want anyone to be forced into content they don’t like.
I want to play arena at a competitive level. I have a limited amount of hours that i can play this game every week. The current system means i need to spend more hours doing content I dislike (raids and M+) then content I enjoy (arena at a competitive level). This makes me unhappy.
its not that its not fast enough, its that its such a huge double standard by blizzard and alot of the community. whenever the pve community has to pvp for even a single piece of gear they lose their minds and blizzard changes it. every single piece of gear that pve players use comes from pve. meanwhile pvpers are once again being forced to do pve to be able to pvp.
