Blizz charged me four times for one sub and won't issue refunds and there's an endless wait for tickets

I understand expac launches make ticket times skyrocket, but I’ve had a ticket open for TWO WEEKS now, it’s day 13. My “estimated” wait time keeps going up and up and up, not down. I started at 9 days, then 15 days, now today I’m up to 17 days wait.

I do not have any more time to wait, my account is now in the negative with an overdraft fee because blizz keeps charging me a subscription fee every few days for the same account.

I feel like the system glitched and blizz is just hoping I’ll give up and go away, but no, I will not go away. I will go full Karen. I have already started the conversation with my bank about filing fraudulent charges and getting a new card issued, but they are urging me to “continue working with the merchant”, but Blizz won’t even respond to my ticket in two weeks and the estimate wait is another 17 days…

Most of the times these aren’t actual full-on charges, but authorizations. Your bank may put the funds on hold, but will release them when whatever is going on behind the scenes is resolved.

And ticket times are a bit crazy right now but not two weeks crazy for responses. Are you saying in two weeks you’ve not gotten any responses at all? Most tickets are at about a 6-10ish day turnaround no matter what the ticket estimation is. That number fluctuates depending on the oldest ticket in the system. You’ve got your spot in the queue, that spot doesn’t fluctuate.

You could start by removing the payment method, but if the system is dinging your card multiple times it suggests its having issues processing the charge, but theres usually a hold on funds even if the transaction is unsuccessful. If your using paypal as the payment method that could be what the large delay is as normally unsuccessful charges will drop off within 1-3 business days. But paypal has a longer processing.
Do you have a ticket number and did you submit it under problem with purchase? Because most billing issues are having a 5-8 day turn around.

Well, they’re out of pending and posted to my account. They don’t seem very “on hold” to me… This has been going on since the 6th when the first charge came through. I am now on charge five.

EDIT: Four, not five.

I am not using paypal, and I am having my card cancelled as we speak, so I’ll be going through and cleaning up the cards on my file so there’s no more access to them.

Hmm. Blizz will refund it, they have always been very good about that especially when it is obvious theres an issue. You dont need to get the card reissued/cancelled if you dont want to, its just unfortunate that theres a crazy issue with ticketing atm. Normally billing issues would get resolved in a day or 2 max, atm you have people en mass ticketing for everything unrelated to their issues and clogging up the lines with things GM’s can’t even help with, like wanting to transfer to locked servers etc. So its backlogged them bigtime, but check your service history for a ticket number as even now waiting 14 days for a billing issue is more than unusual

Been waiting 13 days for the first billing issue, with an estimate of 17 more days for the next.

I just got done removing all my cards from my account so it has nothing to keep charging.

Also, all this game time it is charging my card isn’t appearing on any account. My account says 19 days of gametime on it.

The launcher is known for not showing the proper time left on an account. Two places you’ll want to check are as follows:

For your subscription and when it is paid up until:
https://account.battle.net/games

For any transactions and their status:
https://account.battle.net/transactions

I’ve never heard of someone getting charged multiple time for a subscription…ever. Just to be clear, this is a reoccurring subscription that you’ve had setup previously on your account and not blocks of game time that you’ve attempted to purchase yes?

Just to ask: Are you funding more then one account at once? Like paying for family or friends.

You cannot buy 1 month at a time anymore, and it’s coming out in $14.99 chunks. I did not attempt to buy solo-game time at all, I was trying to CANCEL a subscription.

Yeah I was just going to ask this, because if theres nothing in the account system then it could be someone else, maybe a sibling or something trying to buy something or the card has indeed been comprimised.
Because even failed transactions youd see in the Blizz purchase history

Yes, but only my own main acc which is fine and has been fine this whole time. It’s using time cards though. It’s literally the 2nd acc that is going haywire. (I know because it’s the only account that was “subscribed” - the other account wasn’t.)

No one else in my family plays wow besides my nephew and he has never had access to my account or my cards and he wouldn’t do this anyways. 100% not him.

EDIT: So I decided to look into my transaction history, and only 2 of the four charges even show up on it. One for the 6th and one for today (18th). My bank is showing a charge on the 6th, 11th, and two for today.

On the Battlenet you are posting under, I’m seeing two licenses funded with subs.

One is an older named license - one is your WoW 1.

Nothing really looks out of the ordinary here, one billed on the 7th - one on the 18th - and both have the appropriate month’s worth of time on them.

I do see your ticket in queue. at almost 9 days it should be coming up soon.

Weird, because it’s showing totally different on my end and on my bank. I have FOUR sub charges.

Are you able to do anything about the other two charges? Only one account is even supposed to be active. Wow1 I’ve been desperately trying to cancel and refund since the 6th, but it keeps charging me over and over again.

All I’ve needed this whole time was a refund for a charge that wasn’t supposed to go through and now it’s snowballing.

I’d suggest calling your bank - see if those are pending charges.

They can look like normal charges, and they do usually reduce your available balance, but they fall off.

The WoW 1 should be able to be handled through your ticket.

Bank keeps telling me to work with the merchant (Blizz), but Blizz isn’t responding for 2 weeks and it put my acc in the negative. I have no faith that Blizz will respond timely before I have to start thinking about how the game isn’t worth the risk of me not being able to pay bills and getting late fees for other things because (at this point) I’ll be waiting a month to hear back if that estimate wait time is accurate.

Also that 9 day ticket is the 2nd ticket, the first one is 13 days old and the system auto-resolved it.

What you need to specifically ask your bank is if any of those are pending charges.

That’s on their side.

Any chance there are other licenses being billed? That wouldn’t show on this Battlenet.
