The estimate isn’t a month nor are tickets currently taking the length of time that the system in showing. That’s for the oldest ticket in queue.
Hi Bolmung,
We get that it’s frustrating and financials are a pain to deal with… especially when you’re running close to the wire and every dollar counts.
Just wanted to let you know we understand.
No chance unless another wow player stole my card info somehow, which is a whole other issue.
I don’t have a screenshot for the first set of charges because on the 6th it charged my account, then granted the first refund BEFORE it left pending so there’s no record of it on my bank, then charged me again on the 7th, then again on the 11th for that acc. 2nd account is apparently charged twice today with one pending as a refund? What in the world is happening here?
So that refund for today JUST popped up, meaning that one charge for today has been handled. But the 11th is still in need of a refund because that’s been the charge that’s been the thorn in my side 13 days now (once refunded, then auto-charged again even though it says 11th).
Well my ticket sure is, going on 14 days tomorrow with another 17 days estimate. I’m just saying that I’ve already waited longer than what everyone else is saying that it takes, so I’ve lost faith that it won’t take another two weeks.
Do you have this ticket on another account?
What? All accounts connect under your bnet account, so that shouldn’t matter. If you’re asking if I have 2 bnets, I do not.
It’s probably showing original time - not the most current iteration of the ticket.
I don’t think we’ve done any refunds, at least yet.
See those lines that say pending?
When a bank gets a request for payment, they set that money aside as a pending charge.
When the charge comes through an matches up - that goes away.
If no charge ever comes through to match up - it also drops off, but how long is determined by your card or bank.
Why I’m suggesting you call your bank/card to at least see what that timeframe is.
The estimate is NOT for your ticket. That’s the oldest ticket in queue, not YOUR ticket. Oryia said your ticket is at 9 days, not 14. It should be near the front of the queue…
That said, those “Pending” charges are not actually funds taken from your account. They’re funds being held by your bank until everything between your bank and Blizz gets properly cleared.
Based on what Orlyia has already said and looked into, there are no extra charges that will not normally fall off. This is just how credit cards work.
Okay that makes way more sense! Thank you for clearing that up!

I know how pending works, but the earlier charge that IS posted is the issue. The refund pending on the 18th (that only just appeared several hours after the other 2 pending charges on the 18th) resolves the charges occurring for the 18th. The 11th (which has already gone through) is the issue now.
I’ve already replied to them, but the pending charges are no longer the concern. It’s the charge that was posted on the 11th that is the issue. That went through and ate real money from me when it wasn’t supposed to. That’s the charge that Blizz has refused to refund for 3 tickets and 2 weeks now. (the charges on the 18th only served to give me a heart attack and panic)
The 18th is your older named license.
The 11th is your WoW 1 that you’ve been requesting a refund.
Why though? You have a subscription that billed on the 7th which likely posted to your bank account on the 11th.
You have another subscription for today that is the one pending which will likely clear in the next day or so.
Edit: If it’s because you’re requesting a refund on that subscription, that’s one thing. But if you didn’t cancel it prior to the billing process starting then yes, you need to wait on your ticket and as long as you didn’t play the account, they’ll likely refund you.
Yes, that’s what this is all about. I’m honestly exhausted with this situation. I’ve explained this 9 ways to like 20 different people today (not just here) and I’m just going to leave this for the night. I just still don’t have hope that Blizz will pull through is all.
I’ve explained already that they denied me the refund for the 11th charge, which was charged on the 6th, refunded, then auto re-charged on the 7th again and posted on the 11th. I keep getting denied for that refund, been getting denied since the 7th (11 days on that one).
If you have played on the account, it severely diminishes the chance to get a refund.
This was a pre-authorization for the upcoming subscription, and as you said, it fell off.
Correct. Your renewal date was the 7th, per Orylia. The 11th is when your bank physically took the money they were holding and sent it to Blizzard (physically isn’t the right word, since it’s electronic, but I hope you understand what I meant).
Then, the same process started again for the second subscription on the 18th. As your screenshot shows, there was a pre-auth, the hold fell off, and then the subscription was actually charged. It will likely officially post on Friday.
Nothing seems out of place.
