Blizz: Buffs Damage/Health 25%, then nerfs everything 20-30%

If you are making it to a 2nd magma wave - and struggling to kill the boss before a third, your issue is your damage dealers, not your healing. My groups (pugs) barely get 2 in 14’s and 15’s.

Do you not know what a ratio is? Because the damage to hp ratio did not change. The hit is still 167% of the tanks hp in both scenarios; the size of the hit stays the same relative to the tanks hp pool.

This is a game about DPS and for DPS classes.

Healers and tanks are second-class citizens and a necessary evil only in Blizzard’s eyes.

Affixes are just a buggy mess in general.

Which is why adding them to raid for Fated season was such a terrible idea.

My personal “favorite” was when it was the soak-circles week and the soak circles spawned 20 feet up in the air when we were on Mythic Lords of Dread.

Well the thing is…you weren’t making it to a 3rd or really even to a 3rd add spawn. Turns out 4 people taking a DoT that ticks for like 20% of their health doesn’t get you very far.

Also, yes the boss doesn’t tend to live very long in a +14. When you get to even low 20s bosses are going to live longer than like 2 minutes or whenever the second magma wave comes out. I’m not saying that there shouldn’t ever be soft enrages, but Dargrul is by far the most egregious one as it is much closer to a hard enrage than anything. This is especially surprising considering Blizzard tends to make these scenarios “impossible” as seen just last season with bosses like Dorigosa and Telash (whatever the name of 3rd boss of AV is) being very close to impossible to fill up the room and have an enrage (puddles disappearing and in AV case runes reactivating).

No they won’t? When you are in low 20s you have significantly more DPS - so even though the boss has more health, it still dies in relatively the same amount of time as it would in a 14. Hell the 24 NL that is at the top of the leaderboards has him dead at 2:35.

You’re right, they should leave entire keys jacked up harder (or easier) than they need to be for an entire season, or even an entire expansion.

You should be expected to press your buttons when healing. If you don’t like healing you don’t, its fine but stop with the dang martyrdom.

I might be wrong but wouldn’t nerfs like this happen regardless of the Stam/Dam buff? The damage buffs were across the board. These are all targeted. I mean, it’s a lot. And perhaps how the damage of things scales might have a contribution. But we’d see stuff like this anyways.

Most likely, its just targetting outliers, its not blanket nerfs.

And if you’re suggesting all those classes are equally balanced and the level of effort for each one to achieve the same results is also balanced, then you’ve lost all credibility in my eyes.

Literally nowhere did I nor anyone say this. As a matter of fact, playing each of those is entirely different and comes with its own challenges and utilities and lack thereof, which changes the gameplay.

The classes and roles have never been equally balanced and equal in effort at any point in this game’s lifespan, and nobody said that was the case now.

You said something stupid and I replied to it. Very few people’s gear changes enough to keep mob kill times consistent this early in the patch cycle. If you’re going to give a made-up example of something at least make it make sense.

To be fair part of the blame was also the damage and how things ended in WoLK. As a tank it was useless to stack anything other than Stamina. You don’t need dodge, block, parry. Stamina is the king for defense due to how there are so many wide AoE damage or DoT that goes out. Also healer was not going OOM.

Then cata drop and those block, party dodge, became a lot more important than Stamina

the dungeons were absolutely overtuned doing them this week is massively different from trying to do them day 1 of s2. they’re not nerfing anything in the open world so I’m assuming otherwise it’s working as intended?
