Blackballed on <Deviate Delight>. What would you have done?

There is no standard guild loot system that would reward an Ashkhandi to a new player on their first raid. It is completely asinine to think you even deserve it.

Go find a GDKP or +1 loot run if you don’t want to deal with normal guild looting.

You also don’t hand one of the rarest weapons in the game to some new recruit just because it’s an upgrade. You want to pass him some loot that would just get DE’d otherwise, fine by me. OP should have went into his new guild humble and with the intent of being the best raider he could be. Instead he went in with an “I’m entitled” attitude, was woefully unprepared (according to a guild officer from guild in question), wiped the raid doing something careless, failed to properly play his class, and then had the gall to demand Ashkandi. Are you friggin’ kidding me? That some of you think this is OK speaks volumes about you just as the OP’s actions speak volumes about him.

It’s weird that some people just take what OP said as gospel truth.

If you look at his post history, he is known for playing the victim with no justification.

The guild just happened to have an open space, so they invited him just to be nice. He had no business being in the raid by rights. He was undergeared, unenchanted, and did not know the fights. He also has not done any research on how to play his class. He parsed an 18 for his item level.

OP is being dishonest about the wipes. They only wiped 3 times, and two of those times he caused it.

Any issue with the guild’s method of looting is irrelevant. If you dig through his profile you can see that he had the same ungrateful mentality even in a guild that gave him plenty of undeserved loot.

Actually the people supporting me are not me. I guess it is shocking to see that some people have a brain and realize how ridiculous it is to give people who are already geared weapons to play with in PvP over people who can use them in a raid as a MASSIVE upgrade to their overall dps. Most people don’t get that though…which is why this particular guild has a problem with continually wiping in BWL over and over. They just don’t understand the benefit of gearing out the entire raid instead of a few of their friends.

Oh and by the way…the same guild in here “claiming” that I’m the sole reason their guild kept wiping during the raid (which is ridiculous)…is the same guild who said in LFG that my rage bar never goes down and I don’t use execute. I guess some people will believe anything they’re told. Do you honestly think that if I kept wiping their raid they would keep the new guy in the raid? Wake up people.

I’m one of the GMs of another guild on server. I reached out with some friendly advice to the OP to leave LFG for a few days and let things blow over, as he’ll be stuck on the server for a few months at least. It took about three minutes before he told me that all guilds on our “backwater, dying server” were trash.

His attitude leaves a lot to be desired. I hope the young man grows up someday. It would greatly benefit him to do so.

Best of luck.

So I was apparently brand new to the guild…and wiping the raid left and right with blue axes in BWL and no one wanted to kick me. That sounds legit right guys?

Yes because you were new and we arent a super sweaty guild wipes happen give the new guy benefit of the doubt. I guess in your opinion you are supposed to kick the bad player from the raid but also give them weapons off of nefarion.

Does it now?

I don’t know or care about the drama. I don’t care about rare eye-candy in a game. However, if someone is brought on a run and an upgrade drops which helps no one else then I believe it should be given to them.

If this person ruined the raid somehow then, of course, that’s a different situation. I can’t speak to that and I won’t guess or take sides.

Graff if you scroll up they’re claiming that my warrior with blue axes wiped the raid multiple times because their Tier 2 tanks couldn’t pull aggro off me…and yet they “made the decision” to keep my brand new blue geared warrior in the raid because they thought I was learning how to raid BWL for the first time. Now…does that sound like they are being honest about what actually happened?

I would believe them over anything you ever said, ever.

You can cleave the raid without pulling aggro. You were out of position.

If a guy with blue axes comes into the raid for the first time and repeatedly wipes the raid…OF COURSE you kick him. No guild would deal with a new player continually wiping the raid. Now is that what actually happened…or are there other reasons for the guild wiping over and over and they want to blame the new guy and use him as a scapegoat for their own problems?

That’s between you and them. I can’t know the truth and I won’t bother trying to figure it out. There are plenty of places where even someone in blues can cause a wipe and there are steps they could have taken. It’s not something in which I’ll get involved.

All you can do now is move on. Creating threads and arguing with people will get you nowhere. Wait for the next flavor-of-the week outrage to come by and this situation will fade, unless you keep it alive.

It really irritates me that people who feel that way about our server transfer here. I know he said he wanted to rank, but what do these people think they can just waltz into rank 14 on our server? Getting to the higher ranks is a herculean task on any server. Why do they want to be on a server they think is trash and a “backwater dying server” for 90 days for slightly easier ranking? Who in their right mind thinks it’s worth it? Clearly they don’t want us and we don’t want them, I don’t get why they just don’t stay where they are…

How to ensure you don’t have an invite to anyone’s raid any time soon? Do this.

Deviate Delight is a small community and you knew that. You decided to come to a small server, have an issue with one guild, and then cry and complain like an 8 year old for not being given something that you viewed as yours. Now you’ve got ~90 days of time to think about your decisions. In the future it might be a good idea to suck it up, find a new guild, and move on.

Where did I say I wanted to rank up in PvP on Deviate Delight? You keep bringing that up but I don’t see where it was typed.

Because he thought he was going to have an easier time here.

I just hope he doesn’t cross Vizioso or whomever in is doing the PvP Brackets. He’s going to find it hard to rank like others have…

So your friends came to DD to rank and you came with them. But in either event…you told Dw how you really feel about our server as quoted above. Or do you deny saying that?

Bump
