Are you actually trying to say the guild intentionally wiped over and over to “test” the newbie? Seriously?
We didnt wipe over and over to test him. We wiped because he kept standing too far forward on vael and he was chain cleaving the raid.
What? When did I say that? I said the test was to see how he’d handle getting passed over for loot. This has nothing to do with how many times the guild wiped.
I guess I could see how what I wrote could come across as me saying that now I look at it again.
This is like the forth alt you have posted on supporting your own thread.
Do you really think the entire community is stupid enough to fall for this charade?
Sorry, you caught me man. My bad.
Might as well use NF if you got no gear. Although they would have lost that too.
That’s on the raid organizer. If they had a problem with this person’s gear/experience they should have not allowed them in BWL. Instead arrange to do some MC/ZG runs and gear the new members up, then take them to BWL.
If you take someone into BWL then they should be allowed to participate in getting loot upgrades. To take someone in blues and not expect to get upgrades? Simply silly.
Upgrades? Sure. Hed be due for some tier or some low contention item maybe. He absolutely should not have equal footing on the top gear from BWL as a first time raider in a LC run, though.
If this, coming from one of the people who was in the raid with this guy, is true… OP deserved no loot, and its astounding his guild didn’t boot him from the raid as opposed to finishing it with him.
It sounds like they had a spare spot regardless. May have been better with the 39 though if he was the cause of wipes.
Trouble is, with a LC guild you can be transparent, and explain the situation. The attitude of “don’t give loot to the new guy” was kinda bad on them.
All they needed to do was just say simply This is PvP loot in our guild and we do not use 2 hand fury warriors in raid.
Transparency is important so that the new players feel the system is rewarding and fair.
Did they make the correct choice on loot allocation? Absolutely!
Did they handle the situation wisely or well? No they did an awful job at it, and that right there kills moral and destroys a guild faster than anything, because instead of the new players seeing that good attendance = sick PvP loot, they instead see “screw the new guy” because that kinda behavior always finds its way out of the confines of officer chat.
Ashkandi really isn’t that great. Yeah, it’s a fun weapon for PVP but not that amazing for a PVE warrior. Most warriors at that point are DW for PVE. The only PVE use would be for a warrior that doesn’t have good enough gear to go for a DW fury spec, then Ashkandi might be a good upgrade.
It’s a very cool PVP weapon, for sure. But the raid group would be more improved by gearing up a new member than giving the sword to someone for an offspec use.
Ashkandi is amazing for everything except raiding.
True, I don’t know enough about the situation to comment on that part. I’m simply talking about the value of the weapon and getting people geared up.
Who knows the real truth behind this particular situation? Only the people who saw it first hand.
@kandlejack we did not kick him from the guild or the raid because we wanted to give him upgrades and we figured “he doesnt know so lets teach him”. We said there is alot of gear that alot of our warriors didnt need sadly not much of it dropped, it was almost a purely caster loot drop other than ashkandi.
also im sorry if im using the reply thing wrong as you can see from my post count im not usually on here. Someone linked OPs story in our neutral discord and i wanted to tell both sides
It’s 3rd bis at best. 4th with AQ. There are far better drops off Nef, I groan every time I see it.
Sure, it’s great for farming too if you respec to arms. Makes an amazing sweeping strikes/cleave combo.
You’re assuming OP is being 100% truthful and covered all of his own bases, then performed well in raid and was deserving of loot… This doesnt seem to be the case.
Honestly you don’t know what it looks like from the standpoint of a different new guy in the guild. My guild? We make it abundantly clear that if you arent a core raider, you arent up for talks on “tier 3” loot. It takes nothing but some time and attendance to reach core raider rank, so its a solid filter that has worked well for us.
OP seems super unaware, so its likely something like this was explained to him and he forgot/ignored it. Look at OPs past posts and you’ll find 2 more posts EERILY SIMILAR to this one. This isnt his first time crying victim, and he got called out and put down there too. So with this guys track record I’m giving benefit of the doubt to the guild in question and their LC.
You’re cool dude. Yeah like I said above this isn’t the first time this dude has cried wolf. I understand why you didn’t kick him either, as we likely would have done the same, but with that many wipes caused by him, it’s amazing he seemed to expect Ashkandi to go to him just because he’s 2h. Any warrior with a brain knows Ash is terrible for PvE 2H DPS.
There’s one thing OP succeeds at, he knows how to make a popular thread.
Oh god…another Kade/Kaine “Whine/Complain/Woe-is-Me” thread…
good read though…LOL
Simple answer, you don’t hand out loot like that to a new guild recruit until AFTER they show a dedication to the guild. Anybody who thinks that some random recruit on his first raid with the guild deserves Ashkandi is either trolling or delusional. I don’t care what kind of upgrade it would have been for him; he hasn’t proved himself yet that he’s not going to grab loot and then /gquit. Clearly the guild in question made the right decision because the dude threw a hissy fit, stomped his feet, and then /gquit. If that’s the type of player you want in your guild the have at it but I don’t want him, or people like him, in mine.
