Blackballed on <Deviate Delight>. What would you have done?

Its their rules. You sign up to that before hand. If I didn’t agree with that, i would not be raiding with them…It is very…VERY common for guilds to have a probationary period because of people like yourself.

I think it is “comical” and “sad”…that people like you would be ok waiting 1-3 months for gear that no one else needs for PvE, and I will leave it at that.

When you sign up for a guild and they let you know what the loot system is - especially LC - Then you’ve got not basis for complaint dude.

It turns out the Nexus crystal was the correct move.

But feel free to not join guild’s who have policies you disagree with. That was an active choice you made. Those are things you should look into before-hand so there is no confusion in expectations.

It’s more comical that you think retail thinking will avail you in classic.

LOL! Where did that come from?

DD is legit the cringiest server i’ve ever seen

I really have no interest in arguing that with you, I’m just curious where you got the idea that there are a bunch of furries running around on it.

Not all guilds that use loot council are like this.

You’re really not helping yourself here. The more you talk the crazier it’s getting. Cut your losses because I can see this going very badly for you.

You transferred realms and now that character is stuck for a while. People can get, and have gotten, near total-bans by the community on smaller servers. It looks like Dw may have given you some good advice, no matter how bitter a taste it leaves in your mouth.

Just let things lie or that character might be a dead-end for you for quite some time. These kinds of things spread and any guild that takes you on is taking a chance they’ll get shunned by association. So you’re not getting much raid loot at all, never mind a top-end item like Ashkandi, unless you let it all die down.

So it’s like Highschool or the movie Scarlett Letter…or Cersei’s Walk of Shame from Game of Thrones. If you are friends with people not considered “cool”…you are shamed by society. Well in that case…thankfully I have a spine, and if a guild doesn’t have the courage to stand up against a realm’s absurd social expectations…then they’re not the guild for me anyway.

Is it BiS for raiding? No, not really. But it’s a good raiding weapon while you’re waiting for better stuff in order to go DW fury. Especially on horde, it’s decent with a whirlwind totem around. And it’s great for farming outside of a raid if you run an arms spec, with sweeping strikes and all.

So it does have uses in warrior PvE even if it’s not something I’d stick with forever in raiding. And, obviously, it’s pretty nice in PvP too. So there are 3 schools of thought on it:

  • Give it to someone who is a collector and wants it for looks.
  • Give it to someone who will PVP with it.
  • Give it to someone with poor gear in the first place so they’ll get something to up their DPS.

The first two don’t help the raid directly, although they are good rewards for people who have put in the work for the raid in the past. The last one helps the raid directly because no one who is even moderately geared would use Ashkandi in a raid so it might as well go to someone poorly-geared.

But I understand that people are collectors and want that rare shiny so they covet an item that doesn’t help them in raid.

No.

People get ‘shamed’ in classic by bringing a retail mindset to this version of WoW. That’s youre problem, you think you’re being ‘shamed’. The reality is that the guilds on your server likely will not want anything to do with you because of your poor attittude.

We do the same thing on my server, we have both Horde and Alliance wide discords where we warn each other about the problem children out there to help each other.

Server rep matters, and you signed up for a guild that you knew used LC, there was no guarantee that you would get anything and your opinion as a new member in the guild likely had little to no value. But you decided to make a spectacle of yourself and now all the guilds on your server will avoid you at all costs.

You’ve done all this to yourself, but you simply don’t understand.

No, it’s a MMORPG. A multiplayer game. If you can’t work well with others, if you piss people off, then they aren’t going to want to bother with you. That’s how the world works, and Classic is especially harsh on a smaller server because there’s so few people that you interact with.

If you can’t tailor how you play to work well with the culture of the server then you should find another server or maybe even another game. That’s just how it works, no matter how you characterize it.

Sometimes having a spine means that you admit when you face insurmountable odds and you change your approach to something more likely to get positive results.

you realize, even if their MT is geared, that he might have waited months to get a decent 2h weapon?

you’re just entitled for no reason.

I raided with one of the top guilds and they wiped in BWL over and over…

If you’re referring to Purge they’re a mid tier guild by all metrics. 20/43 for Speed in BWL Phase 3+4, 24/34 in Phase 5. The top guilds on DD are all Alliance.

You can literally find the log of their run on WCL. They wiped 3 times to bosses.

Yeah it’s like real life where if a large number of people dislike you, it’s a significant inhibitor.

What a novel concept for an MMO.

Well I’m glad Blizzard realized how stupid of a concept it was and got rid of it.
