Black Lotus Spawn Rate Increased - February 13

the changes leak in becuase its LITERALLY THE SAME GAME ON THE SAME CLIENT.

I quit reading too soon like a clown, sorry buddy carry on. But yeah no one give a rip about the flask market. I certainly don’t and I even make my own for raids.

The only idiots who do are likely those selling gold.

This is why Era needs to be put back on 1.13 and all the seasons stuff can be where ever.

The old spawn rate (i think was) 5min-60min per zone, hard spawn.

I’m curious what the new rate is, I’ve been eagle eyeing around silithus on a pretty dead server with no other competition and not seeing a drastic improvement over the old spawn rates

that would require an entirely new client. its why classic is separate from retail, and why the changes in lighting they made to sod affected era, anniversary, and cata.

you cant put them on a different client. well, maybe you could but that would actually require blizzard to #1, do work, #2 acknowledge the community wishes, and #3 create a new division of developers to maintain the new client needs (CS/GM needs, maintenance, etc). its easier said than done, and even if it was actually easy still falls back on blizzard doing work and acknowledging the playerbase and we all know they hate doing those 2 things

No, it already exists.

yeah, the client already exists for “classic”, which anniversary and seasonal realms are based upon.

there is no other client.

The nicest part is that BWL has a crafting table… so you cna walk into a cleared BWL all week and make flasks.

That lowers the cost a bit as you now dont need to run 15 mins of Scholo to make flasks.

If you dont think DS and Buff limit are coming to Era i have a bridge to sell you.

Era is nearing half a decade old… its dead and over… era never works in an MMO for good reason.

Expect changes and get over it or just unsub right now

The Classic 2019 client just like every other version of every other game blizzard has ever produced has a backup, and each server itself and all its character and progression data has a backup for every single patch, phase and reset / restart ever.

Data preservation is so important that not only is data backed up physically on site but also typically an offsite copy is also retained.

1.13 has already been built and produced and has every single version ever made also backed up.

The only thing that would need be done is character and server data from existing era be copied over and the 1.13 client added to the battle net app for you to install on your PC so that you must boot a different version to play on Era Vs Anniversary or SoD.

Just as you must boot a different version to play Cara or Retail.

what makes you think they have these backups? allegedly they didnt even have the files to create classic and had to bring in a team of devopers from a private server.

What you’re saying is both wrong and uninformed

no, its not.

Actually man you’re 100% wrong.

ok, prove it.

im happy with being wrong and corrected, but you arent going to just tell me im wrong without backing up any of your claims, so prove it.

Do some research; I am not your mom.

Ive been eagle eyeing around a dead zone now for about 2 hrs and can’t seem to find a lotus on any of the known spawns.

I’ve been doing this for a number of weeks to feed my HC characters flasks and have been fairly consistently getting 1-2 lotus an hour.

I’m curious to see more data as it comes out about what the “new” spawn rate is, but I’m curious if there were some other changes here, not detailed out in the blue post. Like Lotus now being tied to other herbs as opposed to a stand alone spawn.

It’s not totally out of the realm of possibility that someone is quickly logging on and yoinking spawns but I’m not seeing anyone in the zone on horde or alliance

Ha, i knew it. Anytime anyone has ever told me to do my own research is because they were wrong. Guess what, pal? I did my own research.

Yeah, complete and utter bull sh1t. You didnt raise the rates on anything.

No, I’m just unwilling to dig up the massive announcement in 2018 of blizzard admitting they “found it” in an offsite back up just as I told them they would in 2016.

Telling you exactly the same thing now; and how do I know? Because I know exactly how data management works and every single semi decent software company ever uses the same methodology and it would be idiotic not too.

No joke, search YouTube for the Classic Vanilla announcement from Blizzcon… it was likely the 2017 blizzcon. I will not link it because I can’t be bothered because I have zero interest in doing so just to watch that Schmuck eat crow yet again even tho it gave me great vindication the first few times watching him admit it with his corny ice cream joke.
