With a hotfix going out to all Classic Era realms today, we’re increasing the rate at which Black Lotus respawns from any appropriate node.
Because this is an increase to respawn rate, it may not be immediately noticeable. However, over the next few hours and days, the aggregate supply of Black Lotus should increase on Classic Era, Anniversary, and Hardcore realms.
While this hotfix also applies to Season of Discovery realms, its impact there should be negligible, as those realms have a separate boost on Black Lotus spawns in place already.
Better late than never I guess. But I’m pretty sure this isn’t going to change much, just more Lotuses for the bots and the players flyhacking through terrain.
You plan on doing anything about the bots, gold buyers, gold sellers, and exploiting going on?
I don’t know that the problem is a lack of Black Lotus in general as much as it is the fact that the bulk, if not all, of the supply of Black Lotus is in the hands of bots. It’s a nice gesture but I have my doubts that this is truly going to fix anything. Would be absolutely ecstatic to be wrong though.
Bots aren’t going to suddenly flood the market with cheaper Black Lotus just because they have a greater supply of them.
Then you should know black lotus isn’t an issue. They’re exceptionally easy to farm right now. And there’s a greater issue here and that is they’re continually making Era changes accidentally or haphazardly because of different game versions. That’s unacceptable.
Not sure why this only now occurred to me but once it did, I nearly came out of my chair from laughing.
Player purchases gold → gold farmers they bought gold from also have bots that farm X item (we’ll use Black Lotus as an example) → player uses gold they purchased from bot to buy the Black Lotus from a bot basically returning the gold they purchased to the bot they purchased it from.
