As someone who farms Black Lotus i have yet to find any after the new change and ive spent hours today looking even camping a few of the possible spawn points for a few hours. Nothing
That’s because they’re being picked by bots. Did you expect that to change?
hey kalvax thx for the change but go play wow and you’ll see that all the bots pick black lotus after few second from it’s spawn and the reason is the people behind bots that 24/7 using “Eagle Eye” to spot everywhere.
so maybe a disable on Hunter’s Eagle Eye in classic to cripple the bots.
And it’s about to get worse.
Originally Black Lotus only had 10 spawn locations on a 45 min-1 hour timer. They changed this in 2019 Classic to what we had until yesterday, that being, like 28 spawns in a 5 minute to 1 hour timer.
As someone who’s farmed 33 Black Lotus by himself, I have no evidence of bots or hacking. Just sweaty gold farmers who spend like 8 hours a day farming these things.
Black Lotius needed a change but this wasn’t it. Boys will still be the only ones getting these just at a faster rate now. Prices will maybe come down a bit but still horrible change.
Needed to make the proc on high lvl herbs. Would have been a MUCH better change but we all know how Blizzatf likes to cater to bots.
What version of the game was this change intended for?
Difficult to imagine what worse could possibly look like though Idiocracy probably provides the best preview.
The change should only be for the anniversary servers. All the threads about black lotus supply issues are from anniversary players.
Anniversary isn’t a separate version and that also doesn’t answer why it’s a problem in Era.
You didn’t get the SoD fix so be happy

Anniversary isn’t a separate version
It is a separate version. Anniversary has dual spec and no buff/debuff limit. Era does not have dual spec and does have a buff/debuff limit.
And again, the issue is that changes are leaking in. This particular change may not seem like a big issue, but if this is how they continue to treat Era it’s going to change a lot more over time. It needs to be nipped in the bud.
Hi Kaivax, a lot of players are concerned that the current community might still dominate the Black Lotus market, even with the increased spawn rate at the usual nodes.
What if, instead, you introduced a system where Black Lotus could randomly spawn in place of other high-end herbs like Gromsblood or Dreamfoil? This change might help create a more balanced market that’s less susceptible to being controlled by a single source.
No idea why they wouldn’t make it like arcane crystals and it just spawn from high level herbs.
Agreed, I was just reading how it’s done in SOD, and that would be just as nice where they have a chance to give a black lotus off high level herbs.
Are the changes even in yet? the prices haven’t dropped and i spent an hour today looking for ONE lotus and couldn’t even find one.
True a few people before & after change are mentioning high level herb procs. Would have been the more sensible change, I’ll never beat a teleporting coordinates bot to a black lotus just because it’s respawning faster

Players are farming lotus. Bots drastically reduce the price of everything they farm. Players kept the price high themselves, not bots.
I have been actively farming Black Lotus for weeks and if you think Bots aren’t farming it you’re delusional.
The amount of Bots in Silithus any time of day is absurd.
You can really tell the people that buy gold and don’t actively farm when they make ridiculous statements like this.

I never said bots arent farming black lotus. I said players are keeping the prices high. bots by nature lower prices, not raise them.

I had 10k gold going into phase 2 farming devilsaur, I dont need to buy gold. Not my problem you suck at farming lotus. My friends were farming lotus no problem; bots didnt even matter.
People who dont have a clue what they are talking about think bots farming lotus raises the prices. lmao. Bots lower the price of every single item they put on the AH, but black lotus is the only exception? If there were zero bots on the server, things like even FAPS would be 10g a piece. Lotus happen to be limited supply because only so many can be produced per day/week, unlike things like oily blackmouth for FAPS. Blue Sapphire fall under the same rule, so do arcane crystals.
They were 200g because supply was low and demand was high. If theyre selling at 200g its because players are willing to pay that.
But the price has already tanked some, so I dont see what the problem is now.
Blue Sapphire is more expensive than black lotus rn, are “bot mafias” causing that? No, players can freely farm them in DME. If anyone or a “mafia” was controlling lotus market the price wouldnt have changed/will not change at all with this change
Ok, I just pick them when I see them and come down on any player in the area with unreasonable suspicion and violence.
No one gets between me and my flowers.
