Honestly if it came down to it and Blizzard decided to differentiate Blood Elves and Void Elves Farstrider type tattoos by making the Blood Elf ones more like the Braveheart/WCII ones and the Void Elf ones more like Alleria is currently sporting (Though she should have the WCII style) I would not be upset.
I usually work off the idea that the main difference would be the colors available or possibly some sort of glow for Void Elves since… void.
But I’m pretty flexible on where that would all land.
Push comes to shove and Blizzard were to say only one gets Farstrider tattoos though? I’d choose blood elves. They have the organization after all.
Probably wouldn’t use a scar myself I don’t like options like that personally but that sort of looks like it could double as war paint too or at least if one wanted to use it as such because I would use it but from that POV
In memoriam of the obvious anime esque Belf hairstyles, how about a X scar in the left cheek?
I bet it would give birth to a whole new army of red headed Belf Arm Warriors (especially with the current errr… eye colors available for the race).
Also if I may make a suggestion, tone down a little bit the intensity of the color in the scar (I really REALLY am a menace, please forgive me for demanding so muchy of your private time).

There also Troll which is the ‘horde’ elf. So hard to pick. I like Tauran just don’t like how big they are on mounts. Orcs are neat and I like ‘frostwolf clan’. Belf since I rather play a human but can’t. I hate forsaken.
On topic. Belf can wait. Many of the allied races need updated befor the most played race in the horde.
I’d think the Belf was the Horde elf… troll is troll. Superior in every way to elf.
No one needs to wait and no one is really saying anyone would go first or in any order. People are just giving their ideas and concepts they’d like to see.
