Big Blood Elf Customization Thread

Oh for sure it wasn’t really based off anything other than a convo tbh, I kind of fall on the no unless BEs had like undead options for example then it becomes a hard sell imo to fall on no, but if BEs don’t as it stands have those options and just going off of rn was where I was answering, but I really want to see Mags take personally too but its all hypothetical anyways

I getcha. Maybe we’ll all have more to talk about in regards to this once we see the 10.0 reveal.

everquest necromancers had something similar to lock health funnel, but it was for more than their summoned pets - they could heal party members with at the expense of their own health. they could also share their mana with other group members, though a rare occurence due to the ratio of shared mana being a very high mana exchange rate for them. they might be able to give you 1/4th mana for the cost of their entire mana pool

they could summon people’s corpses to them at the cost of a coffin. the coffin could only be created by sacrificing a group member who agreed to the exchange. anyway, this sounds very san’layn to me.

Maybe if we get a blood magic based spec the belves could get some development with the Dark Animus.

Yeah. Would have been better I think if A’dal had shown up to give the Blood Elves M’uru’s core to reinvigorate the well…

That said I still don’t like losing that darker paladin setup. The “taking it” bit was engaging compared to what other paladins did at the time. (Or even now.) Its one of the reasons I rp my belf pally still drawing the light by force from the Sunwell.

I would have liked them changing as they have if it was a longer timeline with gradual changes… maybe.

I don’t immensely mind this setup though I very much want Necromancer to have a tank spec.

I think I’d give Blood Elves necromancer, especially if it had a blood based spec. I could see the Blood Elves having necromancers to control the undead attacking their people but that would probably be a disliked group regardless.

Just I could see it.

I very much want more development with the Dark Animus.

I very much personally do not on the basis every class added has been thoughtful for adding tank and melee let them add a range / heal class and put a pause on tank melee for once

Even if you counter w well give them four specs and let tank be one it’s the principle, the first ranged heal class they do shouldnt have to share the limelight at all

Oh I want the tank spec to be ranged. It ends up using a psuedo pet system to tank instead.

Most don’t like my ideas there though.

That sounds like a revolutionary tank spec but still a tank spec and tank specs have been added to every new class and on principle I don’t think they should get even a nod in a new ranged healer class combo so I respectfully object on that note

Oh I got you.

Fair enough take I think.

My main interest in a tank spec I think comes from it being my preferred playstyle. >.>

My main interest in a range healer class finally getting some love is it’s my fav play style and they’ve not added one any time they’ve added a new class but they’ve added new tank specs over and over so on principle it irks me that they’d somehow finesse into the first attempt at a new ranged heal class

Its the BE / VE customization woes all over again but in a class form where now a new tank spec can’t take a back seat for one time

Nah blood elves need better melee animations especially when holding 2h

I would LOVE to have the Felblood elves invited into Silvermoon, especially now that we’ve “redeemed” Kael’thas…

And, I’d love to see a courser blood knight mount. I am NOT a fan of the hawkstriders. Even an armored lynx would be cool!

And, I’d love to get my hands on the new blood elf heritage armor warglaives (as swords) and shield.

If not a new class, I wouldn’t mind seeing Mages and Warlocks get a healing role, and Hunters and Rogues get a tanking role, 4th spec.

Those classes in particular are stuck with only the DPS role for all three of their current specializations, and having the option to play a second role opens up opportunities otherwise currently unavailable to them. New specs (vs. new classes) would also give players who love those classes, and have invested over a decade into them, something new without them having to reroll an entirely new character.

Chromancy healing

Yup that’s what I’d like to see for Mages. I figure Warlocks could heal via Fel Cauterization or Soul Manipulation magic (akin to the aforementioned hypothetical Necromancer Spiritualist spec).

Wait, what about Monks? That was a ranged healer class attached to an otherwise melee class.

I like both of our 2h melee weapon animations myself. What would you want changed?

Kinda hoping we’ll get that and the spellbreaker shield at least.

I’d also love a bow with quiver and maybe a dagger and offhand.

Heritage weapons should work for most classes and most available weapon setups imo.

It threw a bone one time to a non melee tank spec on an other wise melee class.

DK all melee an tank, DH melee and tank. A single bone was thrown w monk.

I don’t think a single bone should be thrown to a tank spec on a ranged class bcz of how long we’ve had to wait and tanks and melee were given new options each time.

Like it’s asking a bone to be thrown to adding a tank spec and referencing the bone thrown for a healing spec but healers and ranged were the ones who keep being left out so I don’t know.

Monk isn’t really ranged.

MW despite having ranged abilities is designed to be a fistweaving melee healer.

Fair enough.

Heh, maybe that’s why I’m so rubbish at it then.

Also post 5k?

Feel like I should do more than this…

I’ll post my list again.

Sometimes I regret putting the people that say that stuff on block. I can’t see what silly things are said about me.

I mean there was the one that said I was a fake man. That’s something, right?

I love felblood elves so much.

The potential of having a sympathetic Felblood who was a good loyal soldier to Kael’thas until the bitter end, being turned into a monster for their efforts. Having to live with being a monster, and reconcile with it, and feel remose and regret for their blind loyalty, but also show that monsters are people too is just such a cool premise to me.
